Nerd Block Jr Girl Edition March 2015 #Unboxing

When I decided to review for the Nerd Block Jr my intention was only to give variety of toys for my children. Of course, I was curious too why it was called “nerd block”. Is it really nerd looking and good for “nerds” only? Well, see for yourself. I will share to you the toys inside the box and my daughter’s reactions while unboxing it.

First, let me tell you what “Nerd Block” is all about. Like the previous articles I wrote about “boxes” subscriptions I have, Nerd Block has almost the same pattern of delivering their products to their subscribers. Once you subscribed, the company will send you a box full of “nerd toys and goodies” of their theme for the month. They call it the “mystery box” because you will be left excited and hanging of what might be in the box for month. You choose a particular theme that you want to subscribe to. The toys are from different cartoon or movie characters which all our kids love to watch. Second point, I think it is called the “Nerd Block” because it was designed for people who love to collect odd toys from famous movies and cartoon characters which was designed unusually.

When my daughter opened the box, she was greeted by the word “Woo Hoo!” I got excited too. It’s like a prelude of what you can say once you see what’s inside it.  The box contained the following toys:

  • Splat Scammers  a soft, safe and squishy fun
  • Grumpy Cat – can be stuff toy or a bag tag
  • Lego Friends Brick Eraser color Purple, Pink, Blue and Orange
  • Mega Bloks characters
  • Goo Blinx – it stretches, bounces and glow in the dark
  • Freeze’s  ice, ice babies – looks like tarantula

My daughter likes the toys, except for one the “Freeze’s ice, ice babies”. She is scared of spiders. She was very twitchy to touch even the plastic, so much fun to watch her petrified of a fake spider. Purple is her favorite color, which is why the Purple Lego brick eraser was a hit for her. The Splat Scammer got her attention too because of its soft and squishy texture; and can be from into different shapes. But Grumpy Cat was the total sold-out for her. She loves it a lot. She was excited that she can take it to school to by tagging it to her bag handle. I think animals, regardless of their forms are more charming and endearing for kids.

This will be a good way for your children to collect the limited editions of the different toy characters for a cheaper cost and delivered right to your door. You don’t need to go out of your house.

If you are curious too, why don’t you try it yourself? You can always unsubscribe whenever you want. Although re-subscription should you decide to do it again takes a little longer and cannot be done on your end only and like any other company, you can end your subscription anytime provided it did not past the cancellation deadline yet.
