Children today born expose a lot to modern technologies. If you have children like me, I know that we have the same worries about how they use these technologies. What worries me in particular is the news I’ve heard or seen about the negative physical and emotional effects of excessive use of these electronic gadgets to children. Another story that always scares me is the presence of pedophiles that preys on unsuspecting children doing their homework online. Then there’s the presence of adult sites. Some sites do not even care whether you are adult or a child, internet traffic is very important for them, there is no filter set. With all that is happening in this world brought about by these of high-tech gadget it will be good to know if we can control some amount of how our children use the technology. As a parent, you will always desire for ways to monitor your kids and their activities anytime. Enter the “OutPact App”.

OurPact App is the latest addition to the “high-tech” ways of monitoring our family’s activities. We know that there is the home security that you can set in your house so you can monitor what is happening to it while you are away. Now, worry no more because its not only your house you can monitor, “OutPact App” will help you do just that for you children.

Let’s face it, all kids knows how to maneuver Smart phones, tablets and other electronics devices. We should not deprive them of this; this is their generation where everything is done online. All we can do is help them have the self discipline so that they will use it for their benefits and advantage.

Other parents intentionally provide Smartphone for their kids for easy contact in case of emergency. Other is for the kids not to disturb their parents in their activities, for distraction they give the kids phone with wifi so they can play games. But kids are curious, they don’t stop there, they will explore. This is where our intervention is needed.

OutPact App is very timely for these situations. By downloading the App to your Smartphone and connect it to your children’s device, you can now keep an eye on how your children use their electronic devices. The App will let you monitor and control your kids’ activities. It’s like scheduling an appointment. That way you can remind them what they need to do for that time.

For example, you only want your child to access information or websites that needs less supervision or none at all, like researching/accessing reading materials for class work; or watching and playing games that you only approve and appropriate for their age, all these can be monitored and set using the OutPact App. If there are sites that you do not want for them to navigate or accidentally open, you can block it using your OutPact App in your phone.

With Manual Monitoring, you can right away block whatever your child is about to download or do that is not appropriate for them. There is also another way to monitor them, by setting schedule.  Assuming you want to monitor and control your child activities for the entire week, you can set an advance scheduling for them, which time they can use the electronic gadgets, which time is blocked and remind them of the suppose activities schedule for that day and hour.

What I also like about the OutPact App is I can teach my children how to control and take responsibilities to protect themselves from internet and Smartphone mayhem. This also set standards and discipline for them. I am not sure though if I can monitor my kids, say if I am away on international trip or out-of-town. Will I get notice or warning that my children did or did not do what was set? Another concern is, they might not be on gadgets but they were not also doing what was set on the schedule, which is a possibility especially if I am not around. There will be some disagreement and conflicts but eventually when set consistently children will eventually learn that they cannot always get all there ways.

But remember what I said, “monitor and control” only of the electronic device, beyond that it cannot be controlled by the App anymore. We can never take away from them the device. They need to be updated with of what’s going on in their generation too, including the use of electronic devices.

This is a good app but of course there are always limitations, it may not work for all type families, it’s up to us to compensate for it.
