Hello fellow mothers, looking for birthday gift toys for your big boys? We received a set of Tony Hawk Circuit Board Halfpipe, a set of skateboarding toy game for my family’s review. I do not have an idea who or what a Tony Hawk is, until I received it. For avid skateboarder or skateboard fans, they must know “him”. Yes, I said him because he (Anthony Frank “Tony” Hawk) is one of the famous American skateboarder whom the famous “Tony Hawk” skateboarder video game was named after. From that, series of games and toys cropped -up. Tony Hawk Circuit Board Halfpipe is one of them.
Upon receiving, we unpacked it and have my son and daughter played with it. Under our supervision of course, because the package implied that it is appropriate for children 8 years old and above only. It has some parts which are choking hazard for small children. The toy itself was designed for bigger children. The materials used are very delicate and the ways to play it are appropriate only for kids whose understanding and patience to play with it is longer. The skateboarding ramp looks authentic and built well. The game is battery operated so it is very handy and easy to play anywhere. The small skate board included in the set can be turn on and off by simply rolling it forward or reverse.
It’s a little complicated and not fitting for my toddler son’s ability and capability to understand instruction itself on how-to play, the “slap on the power axle” and “remote control” operation. But for older boys this might be a normal thing for them, especially the remote control operation. Even my daughter got a little excited about it but only for a little bit; her interests to it wore-out fast. Probably because the toy set is more for the love of the skateboarding than for simply playing the game.
