Ultra-THIN, Skid proof, and SIMPLE…

Surpahs Digital Body Scale

I think that I am like most people and want a scale that doesn’t cause me any problems and is easy to use. The Surpahs Digital Body Scale is ultra-thin, skid proof, wide, low to the ground and easy to use. The last couple of scales that I have owned were the “high-tech” scales that stored multiple individual’s weight, BMI, height, gender, etc. That was when I was in the Army for well over a decade… Half of the time, I couldn’t even tell you if it was reliable and would just go to the gym on base to use a basic scale. This scale was $26.58 on Amazon.com.

There are a few features that are very important for me because I have physical disabilities now. The first feature is that it is rather wide and sits low to the ground allowing most anyone who has leg or hip problems to easy step onto the scale without losing balance. With other scales that are narrow and sit up a little high, it’s easy to lose balance or if you place one foot on the scale it tends to move or tip. The second feature is that the bottom has grips that can actually move a bit so that the scale won’t tip. The third important feature is that the surface where you place your feet has narrow little grooves that make it a little less slippery.

This is a scale that is simple without all of those added bells and whistles that most people do not need or want. I was able to remove the strip of plastic from the battery compartment, place the scale on a flat surface, step onto the scale and read my weight. The weight display is very nice because it’s about two inches high and your weight will display for approximately 5-10 seconds after stepping off of the scale for any of those who happen to wear glasses or contacts and need to look closer.

There were a few things that I would recommend a change. The first change would be the color because most people would agree that scales tend to be placed in areas that collect a lot of dust. The middle area that contains the display screen has an area where dust and grim could potentially accumulate. It is also prone to smudges and finger print marks which are the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. Although the surface you step on to measure your weight is easy to clean, it could be offered in others colors besides white.

While I do think that $26.58 is a pretty fair price for a simple scale, it could be a little cheaper. Other than that, I think that this scale will be staying right in my bathroom!

AMAZING DIGITAL KITCHEN SCALE!!!

Surpahs Digital Kitchen Scale

Why oh why haven’t I found this scale earlier!!! The Surpahs Digital Kitchen Scale is one of the best scales I have gotten my hands on! This scale is very easy to use. Simple is not an over exaggeration in any sense. I can say that I was a little skeptical when I saw the price which was $15.98. This scale only has two function keys that are activated by touch. That’s right, TOUCH!!! No trying to push buttons or getting gunk in the cracks which could potential be a danger especially dealing with food. The top of the scale is one flat surface that is easy to wipe clean. The weight unit can either measure grams, fluid ounces, pounds and ounces as well as milliliters. This scale is not bulky and can be stored on its side in a cabinet or lay flat in a drawer. With the scale being rectangular and slim, it makes it easier to add items without anything falling or sliding off and it definitely will not tip over. The weight capacity is 5000g, 176.4 fl. oz., 11 lb. 0.4oz., or 5000ml.

I have a lot of experience weighing foods for myself and now with making homemade foods for my 8 month old son. I have probably owned five different scales ranging from the ones that have a container connected to it for measuring small items to a fancy looking one that would be better used as a door stop. If I had to suggest one improvement for this scale it would have to be offering it in different colors.
