2018 Back To School Shopping Guide

Back To School Shopping Guide

September, or “back-to-school” month, is here “to give us a bill” for all supplies our kids need on the first day of school and preschool. It seems to me that the choice of school supplies and equipment is expanding year after year. How to pick just a couple of things among all that?

So I choose my favorites for this school year.

  1. Truck Backpack by Dabbawalla bags – a crafted rucksack with an embroidered truck, designed for pre-school and early school age. Straps are adjustable and specially designed from soft, cushioned linen, which does not distort shoulders and back. If desired, there is a possibility that each rucksack will be personalized by adding the embroidered name of your kid to the back panel, for extra $6. This cute, comfortable backpack, made in cheerful colors, is very spacious and functional. There are also three extra pockets, two inside and one from the outside, for various little things. And moms, great news for you – it’s machine-washable 🙂
  2. Classic and very functional XL backpacks from Herschel, in autumn colors, like Woodland camo color for your boys, and Purple for girls, ages 8 and up. Made of quality striped fabric liner, these backpacks are spacious enough to fit all the necessary equipment (13″ laptop can fit perfectly in it), plus have additional bulkheads and a large outer pocket. There is removable sternum support strap in the back side, as prevention of spine curvature.
  3. Indigo Back To School products
  • Galaxy backpack and lunch box set, very useful for kids in pre-school, who are prone to forgetting their lunch boxes. Through a window-shaped planet, you can see if the lunch bag is inside or not. In addition, the set also has a reflective clip-on tag component, as a very interesting detail. The backpack is very spacious and after putting the lunch box.
  • Their sub-brand Yoobi has this super-sweet Unicorn pencil organizer. It is very effective, with a lot of both big and small pockets, for pencils, and various little things.
  • Pencil sharpener, by Yoobi too, with the print of smiley faces will make your kids’ day. It has two holes of different sizes, and a spacious container for shavings.
  • Easy-clip coin purse that looks like a mini backpack, in black, so your kids can save their pocket money there.
  1. See Kai Run shoes
  • Open-finger shoes Lincoln III – these sandals provide excellent support for tiny feet. And hook-and-loop makes them adjustable to growing feet, so you can use them for two seasons.
  • Sporty sneakers Rusell – intended for cooler days, these shoes in a combination of various materials will ensure and tighten the kid’s foot while running and jumping. The mold is a bit larger; it allows painless foot growth and long-time wearing.
  1. Pediped’s Flex Gehrig sneakers approved by podiatrists, in combination of black and lime, use The Flex Fit System™ removable pads to adjust shoe size, which is excellent thing, because kids’ feet grow quickly in this age. These shoes are of excellent features, made of high-quality soft leather, with flexible rubber sole.
  2. Made Good – MadeGood Offers a variety of tasty snacks that are not only nutrient-rich but also allergy-friendly, making their delicious Crisy Squares, Granola Bars and Granola Minis school safe! Also MadeGood Vanilla and Cocoa Cereals make breakfast time delicious and the perfect healthy food choice! The NEW MadeGood Soft Baked Mini Cookies are a great addition to the line of nutritious MadeGood snacks. These deliciously soft and chewy cookies will leave you satisfied without the guilt. With a serving of vegetables in each pack, they are ideal for snack time or school lunch box. Introducing simple goodness of granola with the light, crisp texture of cereal with MadeGood’s NEW Crispy Light Granola. Simple, minimally processed tasty organic ingredients combined with the nutrients of vegetables make this granola a nutritious breakfast alternative. Enjoy the granola anytime of day, by adding it to milk, to yogurt or as part of a snack.
  3. Healthy snacking shouldn’t mean compromising taste or require a ton of time to prepare, which is why Manitoba Harvest hemp hearts are the perfect addition to sweet and savoury snacks. Hemp hearts pack of punch of plant-based protein, omega’s, fibre, iron and more to fuel your child’s day. Aside from the nutritional benefits, what parents will especially love about hemp hearts is:
    • They’re tiny and tasty: they have a deliciously nutty taste, similar to sunflower seeds or pine nuts and their size makes it easy to sneak them past even the pickiest of eaters.
    • They’re versatile: they can be sprinkled on dishes already in your routine, such as yogurt, dips or smoothies, making it easy to boost the nutritional value of your child’s favourite snacks.
    • They’re allergy-friendly: hemp hearts will be welcome in the classroom, making it an easy and stress-free alternative nuts and nut butters.
