Kids love surprises, and I don’t mind surprising my kids with unexpected treats but I myself want to be surprised too! I love the feeling of sharing the excitement with my children whenever they receive something that I’m not sure about, but I also want to make sure that it would be unique and something I’d totally approve. Yeah, I’m picky like that!
Speaking of picky, I’m glad 1UP Box subscription box did that picking job for me and my kids. I’ve enjoyed different kinds of subscription boxes before, particularly those that feature healthy food packs and luxurious yet affordable items for moms. I love this concept so much because it saves me time and money from picking which new items to try, and every item in the box I received was very much liked by me and my family.

Super Mario Bros shades
This is my kids’ favorite simply because they find it hilariously cute! It’s not just a simple pair of shades because it’s got a cap front and a moustache attached to it! It’s still too big for my kids for now (the moustache is positioned under their mouth!), but it makes a great accessorry for a Mario or Luigi costume when they grow bigger.
Link socks with The Legend of Zelda icons 
These are adult-sized socks that fit myself well, and it also go along with any of my jeans because it’s black. The gray Legend of Zelda icons are a cool addition that would wow any Nintendo fan who would recognize them!
Super Mushroom bow tie
Again, this is adult-sized but the style is just adorably kid-friendly. And it looks great on my son so this one’s for him! Honestly, he looks too cute in an oversized bow tie. How much more with Super Mushroom patterns?
Star Wars keychain
This one is a total surprise for all of us. The keychain has five Star Wars designs (Chewbacca, R2D2, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Star Wars logo) and the 1Up Box includes just one of them. And look what we got!
Adventure Bros t-shirt
Mario, Luigi, Darth Vader and Link are after the golden star in this kid-sized shirt. Oh, did I mention they’re all together in the picture? I can smell jealous grownup Nintendo fans coming when they see my kid wearing this shirt.
1Up Box is a subscription box for geeks and gamers. My whole family loved their September box because it’s a mix of cool epic stuff for kids and adults, so all of us got our share of surprises. I’m not an avid video gamer but my husband and I grew up with Mario, Star Wars and Zelda. Imagine the kid in us reawakened! We were so happy to share our excitement with the kids.
