Why organic baby food

I have met lots of new moms and they talk a lot about what their babies eat, especially when the baby just starts on their solid food. Because as a parent, we know that feeding a child is one of the most basic responsibilities in our life and we want the food we feed the baby to be wholesome and fresh, we want to know where exactly the food came from and we want to make sure only natural nutrition ingredients into it.

Most doctors recommend starting with rice cereal, moving next to a variety of vegetables and fruits and then to meat and poultry. Remember every time when you introduce new food to your small one, it’s best to do so one at a time. I have already had a lesson. I used a few days to find out what’s the source of my baby’s allergic reaction. She is allergy to egg yolk (usually egg white causes allergy to babies who is under 1 year old). Anyway, do once a time and wait a few days to make sure your baby is fine with this new baby food. I prefer homemade organic baby food to conventional baby food. There are some of the reasons why organic food is the best choice for babies and kids.

  • According to the book Green Babies, Sage Moms, pesticide use has increased thirty-three-fold in the United States since the end of the Second World War.
  • Children eat drink, and breathe more pesticides, pound per pound, than adults; plus they have a tender immune system and their bodies are growing and developing.
  • A study of Seattle schoolchildren showed that those were fed non-organic diets had six times the amount of pesticides in their urine than children who were fed organic diets.

As we know that pesticide exposure poses a very significant risk to the development of babies and children. Just for this reason, I want my baby have organic natural food as much as possible.
