TELUS Grand Gestures Campaign through #actsofcaring

For me, the best brands are not only those with great products and services, but also those that take the extra mile in handling customer concerns. The brands that I look up to the most are those that are sincerely open for and promptly responsive to feedback, comments and suggestions from all customers. Brands that truly care are those who show that each customer’s concern, whether positive or negative, and no matter how big or small, are equally important. Customers like me would already be very pleased with that! 

But what TELUS just did to a loyal customer was really way over the top and totally touching. Romana has been a customer for 20 years, and that’s a very long time! It just means that such customer could have been really satisfied with the quality of services that TELUS provides. And after those strong and loyal years, as if celebrating the 20th year of their customer relationship with Romana, TELUS has definitely made her the happiest customer on that day as they romantically made her aviation dreams come true! Romana’s wonderful TELUS story is just a kickoff of the Grand Gestures Campaign by TELUS, to give back with heartwarming gratitude to their valuable customers in the most exciting ways. Here are just a few happenings that are lined up for all of us, care of the Care-A-Van team: 

  • They will be knocking on the doorstep of each of 100 lucky customers who will be given a special surprise care package as a small token of appreciation and personal way of thanking them. 
  • For every use of #actsofcaring online, TELUS will be donating $5 to the Guelph’s Children’s Foundation
  • The local TELUS store will be hosting a FREE BBQ LUNCH for 1,000 customers and their families

TELUS definitely made Canada a better place with all the love and #actsofcaring that they have been spreading both online and in real life. So let’s spread the same loving and inspiring vibe with our participation in the #actsofcaring campaign too! 

It’s easy to attract new customers, but retaining them is not always as easy. Customers like me would somehow expect a little appreciation from my favourite brands that I had been loyal to, which could be just as simple as birthday greetings in the mail and some small discounts or treats. While bigger, unexpected surprises like grand gestures would just be a great bonus, but that would really be such a dream! Kudos to TELUS for a job well done! 

Now if you ask me, I’d love to really feel appreciated for the things I do. And I’m talking about my round-the-clock job of being a wife to my husband and a mom to my kids. There are admittedly ups and downs in being a mom and wife, so I might as well dream of having a great reward for myself! I would love to go on a grand cruise vacation with my husband as we travel around the world. But now that I’m a happy mom with two very young kids, I would love to take them on a grand family vacation that would not only make my kids enjoy, buy would also make us parents feel just as giddy like we were little kids again. We’re dreaming it, but we better save up for this one!
