Sears Portrait Studio Holiday Photos

Christmas is a few weeks away and Sears won’t certainly miss out on sharing the giving spirit to their well-loved customers. Being one of them and one of the Sears Baby’s Room Ambassadors, I was given a coupon for a free portrait session on the Sears Portrait Studio. I knew it was going to be a great experience since we’re now having the fourth member soon in the picture. It will ne like his first picture with us since my tummy was being obvious, of course (still pregnant here!).

Anyway, the free coupon was for a family photo shoot which will be used for personalized greeting cards. The coupon included getting free 10 holiday greeting cards with our photo in them. Isn’t that amazing? I’m really thrilled right now to see how our shots turned out! They’re yet to be sent to us any day from now and I can’t wait to send them to relatives and friends. I mean, it may not be too much as Christmas present but enough is the thought that we are expressing our love and gratitude to the ones we love through greeting cards. As a matter of fact, they can also be great to be attached to a more extravagant gift like to a basket of fruit cakes or a box of cupcakes.

Not only did Sears Portrait Studios gave us a free photo shoot and a greeting cards. Each ambassadress and their families, including me and my family, were given some spending money to go splurge on shopping for some great outfits at Sears. Moms were ecstatic to go over Sear’s wide range of adorable and really stylish holiday ensembles. These were perfect for kids to look their very best for the portrait. A discount of 25% off was tagged on dress wear that went on until the 8th of November. My post may be a little too late but, hey, at least you could still grab the latest fabulous clothes for your kids at Sears, right? No matter what age your kids are, Sears has a line of nice and adorable wears for them—from baby outfits to teens clothes! The sky is the limit at Sears!

Moreover, I would give everyone a heads up first. Although Sears opens up at 11 am on Sundays, it’s best not to set your portrait session on the earliest time slot available for booking. Also, do confirm your arrival through phone call or email to make sure people in-charge at Sears will anticipate that you and your family are coming. As for me, I learned that lesson the hard way. I booked our photo session on the earliest appointment (11am) and was asked to get to the studio/mall 15 minutes earlier. To my dismay, no one was there until 11:10 am. And they told me that my booking was cancelled due to the camera not working without any notice. It took a “talk of negotiation” to get the Sears team to reschedule us at 12:30pm. Not bad compared to not having the portrait session at all! J

Nevertheless, I had a great time especially when I saw that my daughter looked really adorable with her dress that I personally handpicked. My family and I had so much fun with this first-time experience and having the chance to work with such an experienced photographer. We had the choice of what background to choose. Instead of the lively-themed background, I chose the traditional white backdrop for our portrait. There were props but we wanted ours to be simple, so we didn’t bother using props anymore.

I was thinking of making the greeting cards as elaborated photo gift tags or have them framed for house decors at the kids’ grandma’s house. They could also make good scrapbook entries if there is someone close to your family who loves scrapbooking. Also, simply sending them via mail is not bad at all. Next year, if given a chance, I’d definitely want to do this experience again.
