One might say that I am hard to buy for, especially when it comes to gift giving, but just the other day, I received an item as a sample that I would buy for myself, or even purchase for my mother as an upcoming Mother’s Day present. The item I received was a classic Parker IM pen. I was totally blown away when I received this pen in the mail to try for free. It was so nice and immediately I thought it would make a great present for someone just like myself.
The first thing I loved about this pen was how comfortable it was to use. I do a lot of writing, and usually my fingers get sore from the pen leaning on them and rubbing. This pen did not do that. This pen was comfortable to hold for hours and did not irritate my fingers whatsoever. I liked how light the pen felt in my hand, as well. My favorite thing about the Parker IM pen that I received however was the color. Pink is my favorite color, and this pen was a finished with a beautiful pink lacquer. I was also fond of the fact that the pen still had that classy metal look to it. Keep in mind, however, that the Parker IM classic pen does come in a variety of other colors and finishes, so there is something that will appeal to everyone. The shape of the pen was also nice, especially the tapering.
You can see at first glance that the pen is made from great materials and is well put together. I really like just how functional the pen is. Another great thing about the pen is that it is refillable. If it runs out of ink, I can head out to my local Staples store and pick up a refill and I will be back in business. I use this pen each and every day at work and I receive tons of compliments on it. People even stop to ask me where I got such a beautiful pen.
The classic Parker IM pen would make a great gift for Mother’s Day on May 12, 2013. If your mother is hard to buy for, like I am, a pen is a practical, yet thoughtful gift that she will appreciate. I like where i read where you wrote that it was comfortable to write with this pen for long periods at times . I have arthritis and writing hurts my fingers 🙁 I know my doctor said a better pen may help , so this has my interest 🙂
