Recently I received the Fancy Nancy Stick’n Style® Build-a-Bow Kit for review from Orbfactory.com, and my daughter couldn’t wait to dive into it as soon as she saw it. It is only $14.99, which is a very good deal for all the amount of supplies you get in the kit. It comes with brightly colored ribbons, stick on gems, flower cut outs, feathers, and some headbands and some hair elastics. The hair elastics are good quality, and the headbands aren’t too tight.
My daughter and I sat down together at the table to make the bows. It was easy to keep from becoming a mess. There’s no glue, no glitter, no confetti, and everything was easily contained. She and I made the first bow together, and it was fairly simple. How it works is you have clips with a nub in the middle. You might not be able to see it in the picture, but there are holes in the ribbons to put the nub through. Then, you snap the clip closed and it’s a bow! The clip is easy to attach to either the hair elastics or the headbands. The flower cut outs have a hole in them too. The stick on jewels are adhesive on the back to you can put them anywhere on the ribbons or headband that you want. To include the feathers, just place them where you want them around the nub and close the clip over them.
Once she understood how it worked, she happily made the biggest bow she could, and covered it with stick on gems. I helped her attach it to one of the headbands, and she wore it around the house, eager to show it off. I got her to come back to the table by bringing a hand mirror from the bathroom so she could admire her own handiwork. She made another bow, with less stick on gems, but including one of the flower cut outs and the feathers, and we put that on the other side of the headband. The bows held on to the headband pretty well. As she danced around the living room, they didn’t come flying off.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with this kit. It was of good quality, good value, and my daughter loved it. I’m definitely looking at getting more fun kits from Orbfactory.com for the next rainy day. Thank you Orb Factory!
