Exederm’s Intensive Baby Moisturizer, Hydrating Baby Lotion and Cleansing Baby Bath Review

exederm

I’m very picky about what I put on my daughter’s skin. I have another baby on the way and those feeling’s won’t change with this child either. I don’t just consider it being picky. I would like to think of it as being safe. Most of the time trying to find a lotion or cream that doesn’t have all that extra junk in it, and is still effective, can be really hard.

The Exederm brand of skincare has been a trusted source for years, which is one of the reasons I use a lot of their skincare products as an adult. I love that they also have a line of skincare products for infants and children too! Exederm prides itself on the fact that they don’t use any dye, fragrances, strange chemicals, herbal additives, or strange ingredients. Their website, www.exederm.com, states that “Our philosophy is simple, avoid irritants that trigger eczema and always use the mildest ingredients possible.” When it comes to health care for my children, I’m going to use products I trust. Exederm’s skincare line for infants and children is one of those products.

The National Eczema Association has not only given these items a “Seal of Acceptance Award”, but all 3 items have each received a review of “5 out 5 stars” by them as well. Luckily, my little girl was not born with eczema, nor does she have any allergic reactions to oils from herbs or nuts. However, she does get the occasional rash or a mild case of hives. If my new baby were to be born with eczema, or allergies, these are products that would be safe to use on my infant child.

Intensive Baby Moisturizer

The Intensive Baby Moisturizer is not really a lotion. It’s more like a cream, and it gets absorbed by the skin easily. One of the things I like most about this is that it’s not greasy! Which means it won’t leave grease stains on my child clothes like other creams or ointments do! I think all mothers know how difficult it is to get those stains out of fabric. The Intensive Baby Moisturizer has a fairly thick consistency, which means the tiniest amount will go pretty far. This is another reason I favor this product, you get your money’s worth out of it.

Hydrating Baby Lotion

The Hydrating Baby Lotion is not heavy like a lot lotions tend to be. It’s not sticky and very lightweight. This lotion is very easily absorbed as well, and since I don’t have to do a lot of work to make sure it gets rubbed into the skin, I often use this on my daughter when she gets out of the bathtub at night.

Cleansing Baby Bath

The Cleansing Baby Bath is more like a wash. It comes with a pump (you can control how much you use and this creates less waste) and because it’s not very thick or heavy either it washes away easily, without leaving any kind of soapy residue behind.

When it comes to the price it can be a little expensive for some parents. I think it’s completely worth it though. It’s one of those products that you get more out of than you actually spend on it. You can order all 3 baby products and more at the Exederm website. The price ranges from around $13 to $15 or more, plus the cost of shipping and handling. I would only order from the site if there was no other place close to me that offered it in their store, but that’s because I’m a mom and I like to save money when I can. Walgreens Pharmacy recently started carrying Exederm products! As of right now I believe they’re only carrying the Cleansing Baby Bath and the Hydrating Baby Lotion, and both products are around $11 each. You can order from the Walgreens website, www.walgreens.com, if you spend more than $25 on products from their site the shipping and handling is free!

In the end, there is nothing I don’t LOVE, and I mean really LOVE, about these items. They’re safe, they work (you get results pretty quickly, sometimes less than a week), and they’re affordable depending on which way you purchase them. These great products get my “Mommy Approval” without a doubt! Highly recommend!
