Creative Baby’s World of Eric Carle Very Hungry Caterpillar Happy & Hungry Booster Seat Review

Oh how cute!  I just received the “World of Eric Carle Very Hungry Caterpillar Happy & Hungry Booster Seat” in the mail and it is super cute.  I couldn’t help to realize that the booster seat is inspired by the author Eric Carle.  My eldest son loved to read his very hungry caterpillar books.

I do have a full sized high chair, but to be honest I’ve always been afraid of my younger son tipping it over. My high chair is also so darn hard to clean. This booster seat takes up less space in my kitchen and believe me when space is an issue, every inch counts.

Here’s how it works:  The booster seat fits securely to most kitchen chairs and comes with easy to use clasps. This seat is designed to keep your baby safe and snug with three tray positions, two reclining positions and two levels of height to make it safe and usable for kids up to 50 pounds.

The booster seat also has a 3 point harness. This comes in handy because my son loves to try to get out of anything that restrains him.  I have no doubt that this seat is safe, because even though he has tried to “escape” several times, the harness has held him securely in place.

The booster seat is great for kids from about six months old to probably about five years old. My son is two years old, on the tall side and big for his age, so I think we may only have another six months in the seat.

My son loves this booster seat so much I think it must be pretty comfy. He loves sitting in it and it seems to be padded very nicely.

The booster seat is very easy to fold. I am usually very nontechnical and not savvy when it comes to putting things together. No fear!  This booster seat was easy peasy to put together. Another cool feature of this booster seat is that tray stores under the seat. Whoever thought of that was very smart!

I also love how easy it was to clean.  The padded seat is also washable.

Another cool thing is that you can use this booster seat in two ways. You can use it with our without the detachable tray.  We don’t use the tray because it sits a bit down far on his lap. Instead he likes to be pushed right up to the table, so he can feel like a big kid, with his plate on the table like everyone else.

This booster seat is great for my table and to take along to grandma’s house. My son loves sitting at the table with our family like a big boy.  It’s very nice to have him there with us as well.  I could also see taking this seat to a restaurant.  Who wants their child to sit in those dirty wooden seats anyway right!

Another good feature is the seat will save you some time. It has a removable insert that you clean in the dishwasher! Love that for sure.

The booster seat is super colorful too and my son loves looking at it. It has beautiful vibrant colors that look great with any décor. It also comes with a nifty little carry handle so you can take it on the go.

My son even loves to sit in this seat on the floor, when he is watching television in our living room.  Score…two ways to use it!

I am looking forward to finding our old Very Hungry Caterpillar book and reading it to my son while he is sitting in this booster seat.  I think that would certainly be a cute picture.
