Beba Bean is a children’s clothing line and web store that has been around for the last 10 years, out of Vancouver, Canada. Founded by a husband and wife team Lisa and Peter Malcic, they bring their motto “adorable meets practical” to children’s clothing. Lisa being a clothing designer and Peter being an inventor has created some wonderful products for babies. They offer layette, shoes, toys, and blankets, everything a parent needs to get their baby started with the best.
Celebrity endorsements, media publications, and charities are definitely keeping Beba Bean in the local and national spotlight as well. The pee-pee teepee has been used by families like John Travolta and Kelly Preston along with Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves for their baby boys. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s twins Tabitha and Marion, have even been seen swaddled in Beba Bean’s blankets. The Malcics and Beba Bean are also involved with a wonderful charity in the Vancouver area called Basics for Babies. I received the knit hoodie for review. This is one of their most wonderful products. It makes a great addition to my baby’s fall/winter wardrobe. It’s made of soft, 100% cotton with precious cuffed sleeves, and vintage style wood toggle buttons. The hood itself is lined in knit as well, which makes my little one’s head nice and toasty on those chilly days. This hoodie comes in an array of colors too. Colors from light blue, light pink, brown, black, pink/brown stripes, and blue/brown stripes make for a great variety in choices. Some of the knit hoodies come in sets with pants which makes this little outfit even more precious for your baby. Pricing is not bad either, $37 for just the hoodie, and $67 for the hoodie with pants. This is by far one of the cutest outfits I’ve found on their website.
A very popular product by Beba Bean is the pee-pee teepee, which Peter Malcic himself designed. It’s a cone shaped cloth that goes over the baby boy’s private area when changing diapers to keep pee pee from getting everywhere (I wish I had known about this earlier). This is such a great product to have for newborn baby boys.
One of my personal favorites is the linen collection consisting of linen rompers for boys and dresses for girls. These outfits would look great for a family photo shoot on the beach during the summer time. Another product that is intriguing is the Bamboo Collection which is 70% viscose and 30% cotton. Viscose fabric is derived from bamboo and is a cotton alternative that happens to be softer than cotton itself. In addition to softness, viscose fabric keeps your baby warm in the winter and cool during the summer. Green and practical all in one!
