With the holidays coming soon, today’s stores are chock full of children’s toys. So many of them, though, need batteries, make a lot of noise and don’t really encourage kids’ innate creativity. Not that those toys aren’t fun, but sometimes it’s nice to get a toy that is classic and well made, like the toys we used to play with. Luckily, today with all the selection on the internet, it’s not hard to find toys like this.

A great place with fantastic toys is euroliving.ca which brings unique, high quality gifts and decorative items from Europe to Canada and US. They have multiple lines of play things, including HEROS wooden toys, ESTIA, Vilac and Moulin Roty, all high quality European lines.

My personal favorite of the toys euroliving carry is the Woodours. The Woodours are a papa bear and a baby bear, and their design is a modern play on the cuddliness of the teddy bears we grew up with. The Papa and Baby Bear Playset comes with both of the adorable Woodours. Papa Bear is equipped with a fishing pole and tackle bag. There’s even a tiny fish inside the tackle bag: if you pull it out, it will wriggle its way back into the bag. Baby Bear is holding his dad’s hand, and also doubles as a rattle; if you shake him, you’ll hear him rattle and roll.

I had a feeling that my daughter would love the Papa and Baby Bear Woodours, and I was right. It’s the perfect interactive plush toy: the dad crinkles and squeaks when you squeeze him, the son makes his own rattling noise, and all the little pieces of the toy, like the fishing pole, can be removed to be played with individually. My daughter especially loved pulling the fish out of the bag and watching in wiggle its way back into the bag. She carried the bear with her everywhere and she wouldn’t go to bed without them. I especially loved the colorful patterns and textures incorporated into the teddy bear, plus, it was easy to keep clean.

The Woodours is a great twist on an old favorite. The bear is cute and cuddly, but also fun to play with for hours. It’s the perfect gift for children of many ages, from infant up to preschool. Parents will love the high quality materials, and kids will love all the interactive elements of the bears.
