Having a daughter has made me look back to my own childhood which includes memories of my princess fantasies. And oh yes, being a mom (aka queen mother) to my most precious princess brought back all those happy memories without shame and it just feels so good to be a little girl again! Only more sophisticated and queenly, like a real adult princess.

And now, my daughter and I share the same admiration for every Disney Princess who has her own inspiring story, unique personality, and most of all her empowering skills and strengths. So can you imagine how wide-eyed and open-mouthed we were with excitement when we got a chance to be part of Hasbro’s Princess a Month campaign? Oh, just glorious and golden!

For this month of April, we’re celebrating Disney Princess Rapunzel. I’ve always known her as a classic fairy tale character with magical healing powers through her insanely long hair and her tears. And now the latest retelling of her story through the Disney movie Tangled is just so refreshing because Rapunzel’s character has become more fun and assertive, making her an empowering Disney Princess. My daughter and I now love the new Rapunzel more, and her beautiful long hair!

Isn’t it every girl’s dream to style her doll’s very long hair? This Royal Shimmer Rapunzel doll never disappoints! It includes a shimmering purple ombre gown and matching purple shoes. And of course, Rapunzel’s freckled but pretty face looks great in any hairstyle my daughter wishes to treat her with. And I personally love this doll’s kind smile.

Princesses Tiana, Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Ariel have their own snap-in gowns, bodices and peplums, and shimmering crowns. Girls will never run out of ways to style them.

I’m just so happy and excited with this new Disney Princess line from Hasbro because it keeps up with how little girls of today do their imaginative play differently from my generation. But it still stays true to the characters’ unique attributes and stories which I myself have known since childhood. I’ve never felt this fresh and youthful before, and seeing my daughter light up with enthusiasm every time we play and talk about Disney princesses is just priceless. We’re making new mother-and-daughter (aka queen-and-princess) memories that we will both treasure forever.

  3. My DD loves princesses, and these look like a great size to play with. I love encouraging her imaginative play, with something like this, she will build the castle and then play with the different doll characters, making up different stories.

  53. I was in the Disney store (in Las Vegas) last week and saw the “Little Kingdom Royal Sparkle Collection”. I almost bought it but didn’t have enough room in my baggage (shoes won out). My daughter would love this!!!

  68. I would love to win this for my oldest daughter Ella! She is obsessed with Disney, with figures and she loves Rapunzel. She has a tangled book we read to her every night before bed, Ella would be thrilled with this !
