The Playmobil company has long been creating fun and exciting toys that teach and encourage children’s minds while they play. This company seems to have a special handle on what it takes to spur on that certain inventiveness and insight that children have to look at an object and visualize it to be something outrageously fantastic. Those little minds will bend and mold a thought or picture to become anything they want it to be.
Playmobil never ceases to amaze parents (not to mention kids!) with the play sets they turn out time and time again, each one offering unlimited opportunities for creativity. Playmobil manufactures hundreds of excellent toys that provide reasons for children to exercise their imaginations. For instance, our Playmobil 123 Fun In The Sun play set which has provided hours of busy play for my little guy. I love to watch both of my little ones as they become absorbed in play with their playsets by Playmobil, and the rest of the world seems to melt away. At least until dinner time!
A recent favorite of my two is the Pirate Treasure Island, another terrific toy by Playmobil. This set comes with everything kids need to build their own pirate hideout, complete with a cannon that works, a jail for pirate enemies, and a waterfall that hides a secret cave perfect to stash a treasure in! It all rests on an island of realistic looking rocks, with movable scenery that can be rearranged to form any other place that my kids invent to give their pirate friends a safe hiding place. There is a hidden cave underneath a trapdoor where pirate prisoners can be sent by pushing the buttons on the archway of rocks overhead. Separate buttons on the archway will also release stones onto enemy pirates standing underneath.
Pirate Treasure Island by Playmobil is a treasure chest all on its own, filled with versatile accessories that provide hours of fun for my two little pirates. It comes with a treasure chest that has its own treasure, a campfire, swords, and maps. There are booby traps that they can set, guaranteed to catch any enemy who is bold enough to venture onto Pirate Treasure Island. There are lots of other accessories with this toy, as well, including a rowboat that really floats for the pirates to ride in. Every item included in this set is thoughtfully constructed to help encourage children’s imaginations to invent new, exciting games. There are two islands that can be re-positioned to change the landscape. Over the waves a pirate can keep watch from his guardroom to protect his island from intruders.
Pirate Treasure Island by Playmobil is suggested for children ages four and up. This is a wonderful toy for opening up a child’s imagination and creativity, with its movable and interchangeable parts. The cannon and the buoyancy of the rowboat add to the excitement when children are pretending to be pirates protecting secret treasure on their private island. The working parts of this playset only add to the fun, providing them with hours and hours of make believe. My little pirate girl and my little pirate boy become so preoccupied in their own little world that I decide not to interrupt them. Dinner can wait!
