Little One Books Review And $20 GC Giveaway

Sunny Day
Sweepin’ the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame street?

I CAN TELL YOU…

With this pop-up book A Walk Down Sesame Street you and your child can continue on to Sesame Street at anytime of the day everyday.  Let them love Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Count von Count, Bert and Ernie, Super Grover, Oscar the Grouch, Abby Cadabby, Zoe, and Elmo.

In time for this popular children’s TV show’s 40th anniversary is the release of this fun item to boot.  Your kid will definitely enjoy the walk down sesame lane.  And as was the programs objective of further learning outside school, your preschoolers will be introduced to numbers, letters, and other skills with this colorful treat.

I was brought back in time when I sit in front of the television years ago at certain times of the day waiting for the program to start.  Together with my cousins we sing along and laugh and have fun with each of our favorite characters.  There even is this one time when I heard two cousins having a discussion of Big Birds color.  One says she’s yellow and the other one says she’s white.  After sometime, I learned that they are both correct since one has a colored TV and the other with Black and White.  Nevertheless, they continued to watch, and love every minute of watching.  Just as my little one now who especially loves Elmo.  We buy cd after cd but then I restrict her with TV watching to protect her eyes.  Now we continue on with the “A Walk Down Sesame Street” book she adores. The interest of my kid is perked more with the moving characters and she engages more in the story telling.  Her imagination is further developed as she did her own story telling.  The activities provided also proved useful when her way of thinking did a step up from usual.

The same goes for this “In the Town All Year ‘Round” by Rotraut Suzanne Berner as it is equally interesting for my 3 year old.   Pictures never stop poking their interest more than words.  They get intrigued with everything that goes on around every page.  And this is the case for my little Fiona.  She points and describes every scene thus develops her vision and learning ability.  Her imagination peaks up as well as she starts to tell stories of possible happenings around the picture in each of the 30 pages.  And they are common activities that children notice around town each day, kids playing, errands being done, etcetera.

I am truly glad to have these books for review because these books are definitely not like any other normal children’s book. “A Walk Down Sesame Street” and “In the Town All Year ‘Round” is loved not only by my little one but also of her friends and cousins that have seen them.  I am sure their parents also agree with me that these books are great tools to learning and enjoying.  Of all the books my kid has, these two is what I will be keeping as a momento of her childhood and early development.
