footmates logoMy 3-year-old son received a pair of the Footmates Connor from Badorf Kids for review.  There are several colors to choose from but we got the royal/blue because they function as a great neutral.  They really are some classy shoes.  They are the best dress shoes for toddlers by far.  Not only are they extremely attractive, they are very comfortable for my son.  We didn’t have to endure any kind of breaking-in phase with these.  They were nice and comfortable from the start.  I honestly think he likes the shoes as much as I do.  The royal/blue color is a nice neutral that looks great with almost anything, but it especially looks nice with khakis.  These shoes remind me of something you might see the royal family wear on an afternoon out.

These toddler dress shoes have yet to acquire an odor as others we’ve tried.  When dealing with other leather dress shoes, they tend to be stiff at first, and when they finally loosen up they have acquired a stench.  The breathable leather on these shoes really does the trick.  The leather is sturdy but relaxed enough for comfort and breathable enough to prevent bad smells.  I don’t know a lot about shoe design, but I’m sure the dual insoles have something to do with this as well.  Whatever they’ve done, they’ve done it right this time. 

We have become accustomed to dealing with blistering feet upon purchasing new shoes.  In fact, we had the bandages ready because we were going to be out all day doing a lot of walking the first time he wore them, but we’ve not had any issues like that with the Footmates Connor.  They are made very well, especially for toddler dress shoes.  His toes and heels have remained blister free!  I normally have to pack a pair of play shoes when we go to church, but my son refused to even take them off.  I was a little weary about allowing him to play in them because I didn’t want his feet to hurt, and I also didn’t want him to scuff up his new shoes.  We had no problems in either area.  Blister free feet and scuff free shoes.  Even the rim (or collar) around the ankle is padded, so it gives him extra comfort where some dress shoes have almost sharp edges that would leave red lines and creases in his ankles. 

The Footmates Connor dress shoes have turned out to be a great toddler dress shoe for my son.  He and I both love them.  I used to have to beg and struggle with him when it was time to dress up because he didn’t want to wear his old dress shoes.  Half of the time, he would end up winning the battle and leave the house in a nice dressy outfit with a pair of sneakers.  Now the only the only struggle I have is convincing him to wear anything else. He absolutely loves these and tries to wear them even throughout the week for school.  I couldn’t ask for a better pair of dress shoes for my son.  These are hands-down the best dress shoes for my toddler and any other toddlers.  I highly recommend parents get a pair of these for their toddler at the Badorf Kids web store.

  57. My son has insanely large feet for his age and any help containing these things would be awesome. At 15 months old, he wears a size 8 and extra wide shoe. This site has them for a reasonable price too. So regardless, they can take my money!
