I am sure many of you have either seen or played with a Find It Game. I know my kid’s preschool class has a few that my kids love to look at. These games are perfect for promoting focus and concentration in kids.

I was given the opportunity to review the Eww Gross version. I will say this game is really gross. Some of the items to find are a booger, road kill, ear wax, a scab, and a spider. There are a total of 40 gross items to be found among the colored pellets.
Thankfully, kids love gross things and my kids were no exception. Since this game is designed for kids 6 and up I let my 7 year old daughter play with it first. As a parent I love and appreciate educational games, especially a game that can be played solo, and with few pieces and instructions. I have always thought that these Find It games were perfect for car trips. So we tried it out in the car on a longer drive we needed to make. The results were 2 thumbs up, our biggest problems was sharing, all 4 of my kids wanted to look for the items at the same time.
My daughter had fun trying out all the different ways you can play. The one player version is fun, you use the list printed on the top of the game and see how fast you can find all the items. If you want to keep score you can use the score list to tally up your points.
The game also comes with 27 playing cards you can use to make playing even more fun. The cards are 2 sided. With side 1 you and a friend take turns turning over the top card and finding the item shown. Side 2 of the cards gives characteristics for an object in the game, when it is your turn you have to find an object that matches up to 3 of the characteristics on the card.
I also think it is fun to let your kids use their imagination and make up their own games, the possibilities are really endless. Making learning fun for kids is so important, with this game it is not about learning about gross things, I think kids pretty much have that figured out, it is about concentration and focus. Getting our kids to play a game that is not associated with the television, tablet, or phone is a great thing, and if it take gross things to excite some kids then why not.
If gross things do not excite you or your children, no worries, Find It Games has many different themes you can choose from. I would recommend any of their games for every household, these games would also make a great inexpensive gift for the next birthday party invite. I also love them as car or plane trip games, with summer vacations right around the corner add it to the list for the to-do bag.
