Children are fascinated with a lot of things such as bugs. You might have seen your child catching up some bugs on your garden and in fact, he or she might have caught one already and have showed it to you. As much as bugs are interesting, they can be dirty and at the same time, not safe for our children. However, it is a good experience that they catch some and for sure, they will become interested about the bugs. Good thing there is the GeoSafari Jr. Talking Bug Net.
I was sent the GeoSafari Jr. Talking Bug Net from Educational Insights and my daughter just can’t put it down. She is always out in our backyard playing with this and I love that it is very educational. You see, the whole package comes with 6 different bugs. It comes with a net where you can catch the bugs. They don’t actually fly but you can drop the bugs into the net. Once dropped, there are two buttons on the handle, “Fun facts” or “Quiz”. When you press the fun facts, every bug you drop, a voice will inform you awesome facts about that specific bug. On the other hand, if you are on quiz mode, the net will ask you questions and to answer, you have to drop the right bug into the net. It is so exciting and I love that my daughter are learning loads from it, even me! What I noticed is that speaks a lot of bug facts, phrases, games and instructions that won’t bore your children. This toy only needs 3 AAA batteries and it’s ready to be used.
Oh, and there’s another awesome product that I was sent as well and that is the GeoSafari Plankton Net. Well, my daughter wasn’t able to use this because it’s for children ages 8+. However, since I am 8+, I used it. It is a net that you can toss into any natural body of water. Consider yourself lucky if you live near a lake or the ocean. All you have to do is sweet the net back and forth to collect plankton. I collected some things and I put it inside a clear bottle and examined it. Well, I think I caught plankton. I love this toy because it encourages exploration and discovery, which is very important for children in this age range. I would definitely recommend these two products to parents out there.
