It is deep enough to hold whatever my children want to bring with them on a trip, while keeping every item neat and organized. The bin has plenty of room to hold toys, books, and even games for their enjoyment while we travel. There are also two cup holders, both insulated, so the kids each have their own space for their favorite drink. The “cargo” bin has numerous pockets that they can fill with lots of small items, and the entire bin area is waterproof, which is one of my favorite features!
Diono Travel Pal sells for about $12.99, and is worth every penny! Before the Travel Pal, toys and books were everywhere, and would sometimes even end up on the car floor or under the seats. Drinks had nowhere to be stashed while not in use, and spills were a constant problem. Often a toy or a book was out of reach of one of the children, which would naturally become a reason to have to stop the car and retrieve the item in order to prevent a full blown melt down. With Diono Travel Pal, peace has once again ensued! Everything is within reach of each of the kids, and there are often such long stretches of silence that I have to check on them to see if they have fallen asleep. I take a look only to find them happily involved in their coloring books or games, sometimes with each other, sometimes on their own. But always having fun.
