2014 Valentine’s Day Gift Guide – Have a Happy Valentine’s Day with PLAY-DOH!

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, most kids start planning out which popular character Valentine’s cards they want to get and who they are going to give them to. Of course, now there are plenty of options out there other than just the usual card and a sucker. This year, we decided to try something a little different and are going the route of some great Valentine’s Day Play-Doh. I picked Play-Doh’s Valentine’s Day bag and I must say, I sure do wish they had these when I was a kid.

PLAY-DOH VALENTINES BAG

Each Valentine’s Day bag of Play-Doh contains 15 small containers in the colors of pink, white and red. Each color is very bright and they can be mixed to make beautiful Valentine’s Day creations.

The Valentine’s Day Play-Doh allows the children to be imaginative with their minds in creating something fun out of their Play-Doh. Each Play-Doh is one ounce and comes with an adorable sticker (there are various designs) so that my daughter can write who she is giving it to.

Play-Doh began as a way to clean wallpaper, way back in the 1930’s. When it was found that kids were playing with it to make all sorts of items, it was remarketed and became the wonderful children’s toy that we know and love today. Play-Doh is non-toxic and does not stain.

My kids love to play with Play-Doh and I am always excited to see what wonderful things they make. I really like that this bag contains 15 individual pieces as sometimes when we purchase other things for class, we can end up with a lot left over which can end up going to waste. This is just the right amount for smaller classes. With all of the food allergies today, this is a great alternative to candy. Play-Doh is non-toxic and safe for play. The recommended age is 2 and up. If you have preschool kids, this makes a great treat for them as well.

You can find the Play-Doh Valentine’s Day bag on Play-Doh’s website. I also found some great fun facts, tips for cleaning and preserving and great ideas for recycling the plastic canister. Play-Doh also has many other fantastic products for your kids to enjoy. It is ranked as one of 100 most memorable toys of the 20th century, by the Toy Industry Association. These little cans of Valentine’s Day Play-Doh are sure to bring tons of fun to all the kids in class.
