My children are already asking incessantly where we are going to spend our summer vacation. They are very excited and looking forward to another break from the long winter days. If our kids are excited to have a break from cold weather, we adults are done with it and looking forward for sun and warm weather too.
Which is why, I already started to shop for their summer needs before it even started. As you know, I already started stacking sunscreen lotions and other important products to ensure my children’s skin safe. This time, one of my concerns is their summer attires. I want everything comfortable and safe; better prevent things to happen than find cure for it, right? I know parents will agree with me on this.
When I received the Umi shoes for review, I got so excited. The timing is impeccably right. I received two pairs of shoes, the Umi Carsten for my son, and the Umi Ria II for my daughter. When they tried it, they both love it. The fit is just right both the length and the width. What I observed of its width is wider than the common shoes which are very good because it will give a little room for my children’s socked feet to breathe, especially after a long walk or whole day of wearing it.
The Ria II that my daughter got is very comfortable and look durable because it is made of “soft genuine leather”. Her shoes are black but it comes with other shades like Navy, Silver, Cherry, Fuschia and Gold. It is very easy to wear and remove, and very easy to clean too. Although the Ria II was designed for school wear, my daughter wears it anywhere she goes. She likes wearing the shoes because it is light and snug her feet well.
My son on the other hand, got the Umi Carsten shoes which are made of leather coverings and cushy foot sole. The design is very perfect for summer weather and walking. It is a sandal that covers the entire feet and has locks to tighten so I will not worry that it will come-off.
Umi shoes have variety of choices for different kids’ age categories. As described in their website, they designed their shoes to give comfort to kids’ feet. It is light and made with extra care to protect the feet of your children. The width was designed as it is to give extra room for toes. The sole is very flexible, so it does not need “break-in” which we normally do for our shoes. Aside from giving comfort for our kids’ feet, they also go to the extra mile of making a recyclable packaging for their shoes to help care for the environment.
As a mom, I would recommend for you to buy the Umi shoes for your kids. Our children’s feet are very sensitive and fragile, good shoes are very important to protect their small feet. Because this is made of genuine leather, it will last longer.
