When it comes to putting shoes on my kids, not just any will do. With baby shoes, the recommendation now is that the soles closely resemble the feeling of being barefoot. Even then, make sure that there is room to move if the shoe does have a sole. With my daughter, everything has to be cute and girly. There are so many options out there and those options come with foreign dyes, textiles and materials that I’m just not sure I want on my kids feet and I don’t think you would be too sure either. My daughter loves her pair of Stefi II boots. With a little bit of fashion and a lot of function, these boots work all year and trust me, they get their years’ worth of wear. These boots are made of suede on the upper portion and have a breathable leather lining. The bottoms are durable and keep her feet dry come rain or snow. There are two different colors to choose from. Each pair has five decorated straps. The black pair comes with a decoration of a blue flower with heart center, pink and white heart, orange burst with pink heart, a repeat blue flower with heart center and another pink and white heart on the last strap. The brown pair has two straps of pink flower with blue heart, two purple and blue heart, and a yellow burst with a pink heart. Both shoes have a pink contrasting stitch which just adds to the cute factor that they have. Sizes for the black pair run from girls US 13 up to a US 4 (the only half-size is 1.5) and the same goes for the brown pair.
These boots are some of my daughter’s favorites and they look adorable with anything she wears. They are perfect for her dress days and great to put over leggings for school.
My little guy can rock the Raymon shoe. These are perfect for those who are learning to walk as they leave just enough comfort and meet with all the function that a new walker needs. The outside and lining of this shoe is leather (like the Stefi) and the Raymon also has a Velcro strap closure on it. The contour of the outer sole helps him walk around and explore everything from the backyard to the beach. The Raymon comes in three color options and with all three being so cute, you’ll have a tough time trying to decide which one to get. There is grey with white sticking and red and black accents, dark orange with brown accents and white stitching and last but not least is a cute blue shoe with grey and yellow accents and grey stitching. All three color options are available in US toddler sizes of 5, 5.5 6.5, 7, and 8.
When ordering their shoes, make sure to use the size chart on the site. Printing it out and measuring compared to the chart may help. I would not recommending sizing up as Umi makes all of their shoes with room to grow.
