Lollacup Straw Cup Review
March 14, 2011 by Vivian
I was attracted by this Red Lollacup straw cup at my first sight. Its modern, whimsical, animal-shaped design appeals to children and adults alike. On www.lollacup.com, models in three different pleasing colors of bold red, happy orange, and good green are available. A variety of stores for ordering these cups have also been listed on the site. I can bet you won’t change your children’s sippy cups ever if you decide to go for the Lollacup.
What I have found is that it is an incredible sippy cup for infants and toddlers as it teaches them the art of feeding from a straw. It has been specially designed to relieve all young children of the burdensome and irregular experience they usually have with their sippy cups. Placement of the bottles is a problem as the infants don’t have the mind, tactic, and strength to place their bottles in the right angle and place. Moreover, the hard plastic bottles are not flexible enough to be brought into the desired place and hence create awkward angles for the babies. But, you may be relieved as the Lollacups have a very flexible straw which is valve free and with the weighted end that anchors in the liquid it’s very easy for young children to sip effectively from most angles.
As you will notice, this straw cup holds the ample amount of liquid ranging around 10 oz/300 ml. Again, these straw cups are BPA and phthalate free. In fact all of the parts of the Lollacups are cleared by the US consumer safety public information before being put up in the market. Although these are dishwasher safe, yet hand washing is highly recommended as there may be some indifferent chemical reactions if the bleaching material is not of good quality.
It is a user friendly product as all of the parts used in it are reusable. It is developed from very safe plastics that come after approval of the Govt. of Southern California licensed agency. Handling and cleaning of this cup is also very easy. Just remove the handle from the base and clean it with the straw cleaning brush included in the packet for our convenience.
It has always been noticed that toddlers find it difficult to sip from anything other than the straws. Hence, a product like this modeled on the similar concept is extremely beneficial to children. Just have it to assure a great milk diet for your happy!
Stay Away From BPA

Recently, you can find many news articles warning the public about high level of chemical contents found in the blood/body of many Americans and Canadians and this issue has become too serious to be ignored by anyone. We used to be ignorant about this potential health threat and everyone took things for granted by assuming that all products in the market were safe. If you still have this old thinking embedded in you, you should think again.
After many tests have been conducted, the results showed that over 90% of tested populations were found to have a significant level of BPA in our blood. How BPA get into our blood? The answer is simple, drinking water from plastic bottle and eating food packed in plastic packaging.
As parents we should be alert to long term impacts of this finding. We should reduce our family’s exposure to such chemical. From the very start, we should give our precious little a clean, green life style that is free of dangerous chemicals. There are many products out in the market that is safe and free of BPA and other harmful chemical substances. From pacifiers, milk bottles to the water bottle they use in school. BPA should not be part of our society. It should be considered a banded substance. I just want to let everyone know that there are lots of harmful substances in many daily products we use everyday. These are invisible to our eyes and yet can cause severe long-term health hazards. But don’t panic, you should be informed that there are options and choices out there that are safer, healthier and natural that we can buy, for our precious babies, children and even ourselves. We all want our lives to be long and healthy and to achieve that goal the lease we can do is to “Stay Away from BPA” and any products not made of BPA free materials.
Green To Grow Glass Baby Bottles Review And Giveaway Ends 7/14 (US/CAN)
If you’re concerned about the potentially harmful ingredients in children’s products, you’re not alone. Many companies these days focus on creating healthy and green products for infants and kids, including the admirable Green to Grow product line. Green to Grow, a great online store, was started by a mother-father team with the goal of making bottles and other supplies that are Bisphenol A and BPA-free.
This goal is exemplified by their Glass Baby Bottles, available in 4 and 8 ounce sizes. These BPA-free baby bottles are both safe and stylish. They feature a cute green pattern to distinguish them from other, run of the mill bottles, and were ergonomically designed for a more comfortable feeding. Aside from being Bisphenol A-free baby bottles, they are also independently tested for harmful chemicals and are made in the United States. If you’re looking for a safe, healthy way to feed your infant, you couldn’t do better than these Glass Baby Bottles.
The bottles are affordably priced and a quality product. I got 4oz and 8oz glass baby bottles from Green to Grow to review. I thought the design was cuter than other bottles, but it also had a more sophisticated design than you usually see on baby bottles. They were lightweight and easy to hold in one hand. But the best part for a parent on the go is that they’re dishwasher safe, meaning you don’t have to waste time hand washing bottles after every feeding.
There are a lot of things to love about the Green to Grow company. Anyone who has done research about baby bottles knows that Bisphenol A and BPA are potentially harmful chemicals that are present in many of such products. Therefore, it’s a relief to find a company that is focused on not including those toxins in their baby bottles.
Also, the people behind Green to Grow make their products in the United States, and are committed to protecting the environment. They use 100% recycled paper in their shipping and packaging. In addition, they donate one percent of their sales to environmental causes through the 1% for the Planet program. Finally, Green to Grow donates to other charities as well. The company has founded a program called the Babies to Bottles Initiative, through which they donate bottles to lower income families through various non-profit organizations. They are also working on a database to connect parents with charities that accept gently used baby goods.
If you’re concerned about your baby’s health, as well as protecting the environment, you have to check out Green to Grow. They make BPA and Bisphenol A-free baby bottles to keep your infant safe, but they don’t sacrifice style for safety. Their bottles are stylish and easy to use, and come with nitrosamine-free nipples to get you started. Green to Grow makes it easy to do the right thing for both you and your family, and once you try your products, you’ll never go back.

BPA Free GumDrop Pacifier from Hawaii Medical

A perfect fit pacifier might not be so easily to find. Many products in the market have terrible fitting design. These products are either too large, too small or made of unsafe materials that will cause unknown long-term health issues. Also if you are considering trimming a pacifier to a perfect fit then you are putting your baby at serious risk of choking from loose bits of silicone. Remember a pacifier will not meet the US government safety requirements if it is cut down or trimmed so finding a perfect fit pacifier that is made of harmless material is critical for your baby’s health, safety and overall well being. If you are a parent experiencing difficulty with finding a perfect fit pacifier then look no further as Hawaii Medical has your product, GumDrop Pacifier. This pacifier is made of BPH free and 100% safe material. It is safe and has a very soft top that has been carefully designed to fit your baby’s fragile face as it will rest comfortably against your baby’s soft delicate skin. It is also perfect for side-lying and has silicon-covered and cured surface design that simulates the natural shape of nipple that babies love.
