2010 Holiday Gift Guide – MetroWrap Review And Giveaway Ends 11/20 (US)

I consider myself a quasi attachment parenting mama–meaning I’ve adopted a lot of the attachment parenting principles. My favorite attachment parenting philosophy is babywearing. From the moment my oldest daughter was born, I kept her close to me in a variety of babywearing apparatuses–we tried everything from a sling (too floppy!), to a rigid baby carrier (too uncomfortable), to an ergodynamic carrier (too limiting). Finally I found the babycarrier of my dreams–the wrap!

By the time my second daughter was born, my husband and I thought we knew everything about babywearing. At least for me, after taking care of the baby all day and as she is finally asleep, the least thing I would like to do is to awake her.

The last but not least feature that I decided to talk about here is the Baby Bjorn’s consideration for us, parents. Baby Bjorn was committed to make things easier for parents and they care a lot about the health of us. As such, they came to design with an Enhanced lower-back support and wide, padded shoulder straps for maximum user comfort and reduce the risk of back stress and straining. This is good news for moms and dads right?

ERGObaby Carrier Review

I am very delighted to write a review on ERGO baby Carrier. This is truly a wonderful baby carrier if you don’t want to carry the bulky stroller all the time. My husband and I were sick and tired of carrying our stroller when we take our baby out. Not only is our stroller very heavy, but it is very bulky and it is not convenient at all when we take our baby shopping. I believe many other parents have the same issue with strollers. Unless you have a very high quality and expensive stroller that is light weight and small enough to swift through crowd of people in the mall, you are very likely to have some unpleasant experience with wheeling your baby out on a stroller.

We were fortunate enough to find out about the ERGO baby carrier, it is light, foldable, and is very convenient to carry. Me and my husband love it very much and I think our baby enjoys being so close to us. The bondage we build since we start using the ergo baby carrier and the feeling of security. This is priceless. With the ERGO baby Carrier, we can take our baby to wherever we want without worrying about the crowd and what to do with the stroller if we are taking the public transit. It is great to be worry free.

We love the ERGO baby carrier particularly for the few important features:

-It is light weight, easy to carry and very comfortable for both parent and baby.

-Specially designed to support baby’s spine and hips in a seated position.

-It is foldable and machine washable, travels and packs effortlessly. It is very convenient.

-It allows you to carry your baby on your back on in the front and it distributes child’s weight between parents hips and shoulders

-The buckle system allows you to put on or take off your baby safely but easily. It also allows you to switch position easily.

-Your baby will feel secure and will develop the sense of being loved

-Suitable from newborn through toddlerhood.

-It comes with a hood that will support sleeping baby’s head and protect against the sun.

-Most importantly, it is fashionable that looks good on either the father or the mother.

There is however one small thing that I need to point to all my readers. When the whether is extremely hot outside, like above 35Co, I don’t recommend you taking your baby out with any baby carrier or even stroller. If you carry your baby in the front position as this can increase the body temperature for both you and your baby. You and your baby will feel very uncomfortable. Like I said, this is a small issue with using baby carriers in hot weather. On the other hand, if you live in cooler and even cold temperature region, carrying your baby with a carrier can help keep them warm and protected.

Considering all the good features and only one small drawback, I highly recommend parents to get this ergo baby carrier. You can switch from stroller to carrier whenever you feel like it and depending on where you are taking your baby, a baby carrier or a stroller might be preferred.
