Let me get through them one by one. First off, the Source Red Drink Maker is the machine that will turn distilled or even tap water into a carbonated drink. It is not electrically-powered and is just operated by a single button. This button is pressed until 3 hiss sounds are heard which signals that enough carbon is already in the water. That would be the ideal, but actually, the level of fuzziness can also depend on the one using it, of course.

Carbonator

Second, the drink maker is operated by the Carbonator. It comes in a cylinder and is licensed by the Soda-Club for customer safety. It holds enough carbon to make 60 liters of carbonated water that can be flavored, if desired, using SodaStream’s wide range of flavors. From flavored sparkling water to energy drinks, the choices are many.

Third, the carbonating bottle is where the water is put into and attached to the SodaStream machine. It is a clear, reusable, BPA-free bottle that can hold up to a liter of water and it comes with a special hermetic sealing cap. This cap locks in the carbon so drinks can stay fresh for even up to 5 weeks. Each bottle is absolutely safe for use, easy to clean, resistant to high-pressure and can be used for up to 3 years.

Lastly, the Soda Mix 6-pack comes in flavors orange, diet cola, cola, pink grapefruit, cranberry and lemon lime which all goes with the sparkling water. Each is at 42 ml and can make 20 L of sparkling water. This totals to a supply of 60 L of yummy bubbly water. That’s a big value for the price that this whole kit is tagged. I just tried orange flavor. Yummy! My daughter likes it so much!

The SodaStream Source drink maker helps resolve a couple of issues for the environment. Literally, how many plastic and aluminum bottles do go to household trash bins every week or month? Just think about how much then goes to landfills. For every soda bought at stores, thousands of cans and bottles are being consumed. But 1 SodaStream bottle can replace 2000 bottles and cans which are saved from being used – Amazing! That’s a lot of waste minimizing. Less plastic usage, no electricity consumption, and smaller carbon footprint than commercial soda are other eco-friendly benefits from the SodaStream Source.

Being so simple and easy to use, the Source is perfect for the family. Kids can help make sodas and expect no mess. Since it’s compact and lightweight, it won’t consume too much space in kitchen and will be great to bring anywhere—outdoor parties, camping, barbeque lunch at the backyard or poolside bonding with the family and more. For me, it’s a must for every family, especially those who loves soda and sparkling beverages so much. Use them for family reunions or give them as a gift for friends and family. It’s amazingly useful, healthy and highly recommended.

As parents, we want to ensure our world is a better place not only for us, but for our children, and our children’s children.

HOW TO LIVE A GREENER LIFE

Teaching our children to create a green eco friendly home can make them good stewards of mother earth. Here are some tips for kids to help them make our environment a healthy place.

1. Conserve Water: Turn off the tap after every use. Let them use cups when brushing their teeth.

2. Recycle: Introduce waste segregation to your children. Let them separate papers, plastic wrappers and fruit peelings, and then let them set aside recyclable waste to be used again.

3. Plant a tree: Plant a tree with your children and share the fun! A 6-9 year old child can plant a flower of their choice at the base of the tree. Then talk to them about how trees support clean air and beautify the environment.

4. Bring your children to nearest organic fruit or vegetable farm and let them pick organic strawberries, blueberries or any other organic products available. Discuss to them how organic is better than what you but in the stores.

5. Reuse: Have their own reusable water bottle to be filled before they leave for school. Explain to them how water bottles can damage the environment.

Anybody can contribute to our environment in their own simple ways.
