I am not a girly girl by any means. I wear the same necklace, bracelets, and earrings every day and that works well for me. At least it did until my daughter started yanking on my necklace, pulling my earrings, and gnawing on my bracelets.

Quickly forced to sacrifice “fashion” for reason, I started wearing earring studs and didn’t wear a necklace or bracelets for months. As my daughter grew, she went from contently gumming her fingers to constantly looking for new objects to gum. The objects she found (coffee mugs, grass, paper, you name it!) were not satisfactory, safe or clean for either of our liking.

I could really sing the praises of Smart Mom Jewelry forever–and let me tell you, I do–whenever we are out and about I am always wearing my necklace and bracelets and Caroline is always gumming at least one of them. I love to tell other moms about how smart they are!

I am often holding my 8-month old in my baby carrier or on my hip.
