It wasn’t so long ago when I was just blogging about how extra energetic my kids were for the summer. But now that fall is almost over and winter is coming, their energy still hasn’t run low! Why would it, if the season is all about the holidays that children love! That means shopping for gifts, participating in parties, and once again playing outside to build a snowman, make snow angel wings, and throw snowballs. So as a parent, it’s my job to make sure that nothing stands in their way as they make the most out of winter the way kids should do.

I want them to maximize their enjoyment no matter how cold the weather, where their feet can comfortably walk, run and jump. And for my own enjoyment, I want them to enjoy winter in style! It’s easy to dress them for the cold season, but it’s not always easy to find the right footwear that keeps their feet comfortably warm, and at the same time best fits their development needs. Amelia is from the See Kai Run Big Kids line, which is designed for kids aged 3-8 years in whole and half sizes. It’s a half-boot style of black suede and leather, so it’s still great for any weather, and can match any kind of girly or boyish outfit. The upper part is soft because it is made of soft leather and plush suede. It has hook-and-loop closures on the sides which makes it easy for kids to open and close, with a simple but sophisticated detailing of nail head studs. Its cuffs are surrounded by faux sherling which I adore. I really like the skimmer style of Amelia’s outsoles because of its slim fit effect that makes my 7-year old daughter look like a little grownup. She loves it too because she can pull off any outfit with it. She can wear it with tight pants or leggings, or even with a skirt and leg warmers.

We also got Orion from See Kai Run Big Kids line. It also has a version for Toddlers, called Doug, which is available in whole sizes for children aged 9 months to 4 years. Orion is a navy sturdy-looking low boot that’s specially designed to withstand playing in the rain and snow. It’s made from durable pebbled leather, and its upper lining is also surrounded by plush faux sherling for cozy warmth. It has dual adjustable velcro leather straps for flexible fit, and rubberized toe and heel reinforcements for extra protection. And despite its heavy-duty look, it has a wide opening for easy put-on, spacious toe box for wiggling, and cushioned insoles for comfy support.

These cutesy winter boots for my kids are just some of the reasons why I won’t stop them from playing in the snow outside. I secretly want to show them off! In fact, sometimes I don’t want them to take them off either when they’re inside the house, because they’re just so comfy and cute to look at!   44. I have had 3 foot surgeries. I don’t want my kids to go through what I have had to go through. So I only get them really good shoes. We have had many pairs of See Kai Run and several of their major competitor. SKR are the shoes that I can depend on (The others all break down within the year with rubber splitting and buckles breaking) See Kai Run fits well– wears well– and even after one child wears them until they no longer fit, they are sturdy and still look beautiful. They don’t break down like the others. I have been uber impressed with See Kai Run shoes. My middle son asked for a pair of boots for a gift this year. I would really love to be able to wrap a pair and give them to him. Right now my big boys only get a pair of tennies and a pair of sandals. my 2 yr old has the fancier SKR’s.
