The Precious Moments brand name was started, when artist Sam Butcher’s drawing of the endearing teardrop eye children, which he called Precious Moments, became popular with family and friends. In 1970, Sam along with a friend, Bill Biel started a small company that brought to life his Precious Moments art through cards and posters. Soon people were clamoring for more of those cute picture cards so much so that other vendors came to help the duo with their orders. The first major order that came their way was for the three dimensional figurine, based on his work “Love One Another.” Today the Precious Moments artwork is famous the world over and there are hundreds of collections with several new ones being added each year. Every Precious Moments figurine is crafted, molded, and then painted to perfection.

Some of the Precious Moments products other than angelic figurines are apparel, books, video and music, gift items, jewelry, photo frames and plush soft toys. Precious Moments Baby Boutique has a fabulous collection of products for infants and babies. Figurines, feeding bottles, baby blankets, bedding sets, bib sets and music DVDs and CDs. Baby blankets are available in several colors. The Precious Moments Precious Beginnings Coral Fleece Blanket in pink would be ideal to provide soft comfort and warmth to your child. An adorable appliqué of the Precious Moments character is sewn on one corner of the blanket, and the rim on all four sides of the blanket has a satin band sewn on to the blanket. Machine washing instructions for this blanket, is a gentle wash cycle in warm water and tumble dry on a low heat. Should you decide to bleach the blanket, non-chlorine bleach is advisable.
