When it is time to play with my children, I prefer them playing with educational toys in teaching them how to build, play and become educated at the same time. I had the privilege of receiving some crafty art toys from Galt®, the leading online toy manufacturer.
Galt® is known for selling various toys that range for babies to children aged six and up. They provide them with learning toys, puzzles, art & craft plus science and discovery toys, for children to develop their brains while having fun!
I received their First Pottery, Bouncy Balls, Friendship Bracelets, and Sparkle Jewellery. My little girl and boy had been jumping up and down when they found out the surprise waiting for them. Although the toys received had been mostly for my daughter, my son had been just as excited as she was.
We sat down at the table and starting to experiment with each of these toys. First on our list was the Galt® First Pottery, spreading out some newspaper on the table I noticed that the kit included 1.2 kg of air-drying clay, rolling pin, modelling tool and 12 by 2.3 ml ceramic paints plus a brush and guide. At least my boy could enjoy feeling the clay in his hands with my supervision, as this toy is not suited for children under the age of 3 years.
We packed out all the items on the newspaper, with my help my daughter rolled out the clay with the rolling pin, and we formed a pot shape by following the guidebook included. She made patterns on it with the plastic knife provided. Next, we left them to dry for the night to paint them the following day with the gorgeous assortment of colors provided!
Next, we decided to try the Galt® Sparkle Jewellery kit, in this kit you receive bright picture beads with holographic stickers and glitter plus pearlescent beads. The kit supplies you with different stringing material, providing you with a decent amount to be able to make a number of bracelets and necklaces. I thought that she would struggle to thread the beads through, but had no problems with it. My daughter enjoyed this very much as she made two bracelets and one necklace and decided to leave the rest for another occasion of playtime.
As she had been so excited with all the lovely toys, she spent little time on each of them to be able to find out what the others toys had to provide. The Galt® Friendship Bracelet kit was opened and contained lengthy cotton threads in various colors, ribbon, assorted beads, stickers, foam braiding wheel, bodkin and a guide to be able to follow while making cool cord bracelets. She escaped into her own world with making these friendship bracelets telling me that she wanted to make one for her best friend at school.
Last on our playtime list was the Galt® Bouncy Balls, the kit holds eight by 10g sets of glow in the dark crystals, two ball casts, and guide to follow. You can easily make two large or eight small balls with the items provided. We layered the various sparkler colors in the cast, added some water, and left if for a while to form in the mould. It takes plus minus and hour to for the ball to dry completely, after which she and her brother enjoyed some great fun in bouncing ball outside. The only problem I had found was that the ball loses its bounce after a while, but soaking it in water restores it for more bouncing time.
My children had been pleased with these lovely toys, and I can say that the quality Galt® provides in these kits is great and will recommend them for making playtime fun and educational at the same time. These kits come at affordable prices and definitely worth the while with the festive season approaching, and you are looking for something nice to give them for Christmas.
