My son absolutely loves everything that has to do with dinosaurs. Lucky for me, I love it when we receive Playmobil toys because they’re just as educative as they are fun to play with. We have reviewed Playmobil Police Station And Police Money Transporter, Playmobil Ski Lodge, Playmobil Pirate Treasure Island and Playmobil Sand Vehicle Toys. Now my kids always ask me to buy more for their Playmobil collections. Fortunately we got a new toy set recently for review again, which is called The Explorers: Hidden Temple with T-rex.
The set comes with a temple, explorers, T-Rex dinosaur and a lot of other accessories like a ladder, guide dog, lights, guns and a bunch more. These all help with the expansion of imagination and create a better and longer playtime which means more personal time for mommy.
We unboxed the toy set and my little man immediately started playing. We set up the temple, put the explorers in there and created his own little story about what happened to the explorers. The little explorers set up their base in the temple and started to look around from the top of it to see if the T-Rex was anywhere to be found.
The T-Rex has movable arms, legs, and jaw that allow realistic movements. The flashlight actually lights and there is some glow in the dark features that get revealed once it is on. The binoculars can be used to check out the dino by the explorers and the functioning laser gun can be used by the little ones to take the dino down. The treasure maps react to heat and the maps can be visible if you rub on the map. You can use them on the observation tower or while the explorers are out and about dinosaur hunting. The observation tower can be set up flexible and the portcullis is fully functioning and can be used to move the explorers, dog or the equipment up and down from the observation tower. All you need to do is press the button and the red light will start flashing. After about 8 seconds, the transportation is done and you can start it again. It can also be moved manually, which does add a realistic feel to the portcullis.
The set is super interactive and fun. The parts can all be used with other Playmobil sets. They deliver fast and all the set needs is 1 AAA battery to get the flashlight to start working. The porticullus comes with the required batteries so you don’t have to worry about it at all. Some of the parts like the crystal ruins eyes, the jungle plant, and the test tubes are all UV-plastic so they all glow when the lights are dim and the flashlight is on.
My son loved this Playmobil Hidden Temple with T-Rex set so much that he has been creating different stories to play with every day. The set is $59.99 on the website and it can be bought from many majör toy resellers as well as the website. The shipping and handling are free and fast which makes it a wonderful gift option if you have a young kid you know that loves dinosaurs. My son loves to share his toys with his sister and toys this interactive are usually better played with company. It makes it a wonderful way of bonding between siblings and friends. Just like the other Playmobil sets we have gotten, we are no disappointed with this set either and will definitely recommend it to all kids.
