2010 Holiday Gift Guide – Patemm® Pad Review And Giveaway

I dread changing my daughter’s diaper in a public place–she’s squirmy, the diaper pad is too small, and she ends up touching something unsanitary. In short, it’s a nightmare. Or it was a nightmare–now that I am using a patemm®–the ingenious baby changing pad that makes diaper changes a breeze–both my baby and I are happy!

What makes the patemm® such a great travel changing pad? Because the patemm is a round changing pad it allows you to place your child anywhere on the pad–no need to line them up on a small rectangular sized pad that is restrictive!

Another feature I love about the patemm® is it’s perfectly sized pockets. We are a cloth-diapering family so most of my diaper covers and inserts do not fit into a standard baby changing pad. I was curious to see if cloth diapers would fit into the patemm® and I’m very happy to report that they do!

You can see that there are plenty of pockets in the patemm pads to hold enough diapers and wipes for a day out and about.

The pockets are strategically placed around the edge of the round changing pad which is unique to standard changing pads I’ve used–I love that I can easily access any diaper changing accessories that I need from one of the 8 pockets (wipes, diapers, cream, etc.) without having to turn it over and fish out the necessities. If you’ve ever tried to change a squirmy child when you need to get something from a pocket underneath her, then you know how incredible having these pockets on a baby changing pad would be.

All patemm® pads are 30 inches and fold into a ten-inch square. If you use cloth diapers like I do, the thickness will be much greater than if you use disposable diapers. Regardless of which type of diaper you use, though, the patemm pads do not take up any more space or feel any bulkier than a traditional changing pad.  There are instructions on their website (and included with each purchase) on how to fold the patemm pad.  The design of this travel changing pad allows you to fold and unfold it with just one hand. It takes some practice but it can be done. The one-handedness feature of the pateem pad is yet one more reason that I love these baby changing pads–any caregiver to an infant in diapers can attest to how incredible it is to have a product designed for one-hand use!

Here is my attempt at folding my pateem pad with one hand–not too shabby!

This perfect baby changing pad was designed by a mom to four and has been tested and tried by many other moms.  The high quality of their product, their wonderful customer service, and their plain ingenuity makes the patemm® pad hard to beat. Definitely a must-have on any baby registry or in any new mom’s diaper bag, the patemm® pads are an incredible baby product to give as a gift or keep for yourself! It can also be used as a baby playmat.
