LEGO FRIENDS ADVENTURE CAMP RAFTING REVIEW

It’s amazing how Lego never ceases to excite and challenge my kids, especially my daughter who is now 7 years old and has always been an avid Lego builder for years. And that’s because the possibilities are truly endless with even just one single Lego set, plus the awesome fact that Lego always has something in store for fans and for beginners. And I must admit that the new LEGO Friends Adventure Camp sets are pleasantly surprising. Who knew you can build not only man-made structures like buildings and vehicles with Lego, but also nature forms like rivers and mountains? And for a more unexpected but empowering idea, it’s an adventure camp concept for girls! We have the LEGO Friends Adventure Camp Rafting set, featuring Olivia and Andrea going on a wild water rafting adventure race.

LEGO Friends Adventure Camp Rafting

It’s like Amazing Race with a nice touch of obstacles like a falling tree, the rapid river, a tough climb to get the trophy, and a wild (but cute) bear on the way!

The LEGO Friends Adventure Camp Rafting set includes a lot of stuff that are full of action:

  • Pretty Mini-doll figures of Andrea and Olivia in chic but tough sportswear
  • Awesome adventure gears: there’s a rafting boat with seats and oars, two life jackets for the girls, a helmet, compass, sunglasses, and of course a memorable adventure is not complete if there’s no camera!
  • Cool camping accessories: The tent is buildable which Olivia and Andrea can set up, and they can toast marshmallows by the buildable campfire! There’s a bench and camping signpost too.
  • Race elements: pieces for building the climbing wall and river bridge, plus a trophy and race flags to complete the Amazing Race touch
  • Nice nature pieces for trees, the river, plus a bear and a fish! By the way, the fish can be caught by the bear from the river, or cooked on the campfire by the girls.

All in all, it’s a total of 320 pieces. The set is recommended for ages 6 to 12, so it’s just perfectly challenging for my 7-year old daughter. I wasn’t surprised when she finally finished building the set with pride. She told me it wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t too difficult either.

But the challenge doesn’t end there, because playing with the minifigure girls is full of adventure! The girls really need to put on their life jackets before they brave through the rapids with their rafting boat. And there are so many obstacles along the way: falling tree, wild bear, climbing the high walls, crossing the river bridge, and beating the clock! Even camping life is challenging too. The girls would have to set up the tent, make fire, catch fish, cook food and all, but all these are fun if you do it with your bestest friends.

The LEGO Friends Adventure Camp Rafting set can be combined with Stephanie, Emma and Joy’s Adventure Camp Tree House and Mia’s Adventure Camp Archery set to complete the LEGO Friends girls in their sporty attires!

This one I already expected, the part where my daughter asked me to get the other two Adventure Camp sets for her. Oh well!

  1. my sister had a baby back in april and I think I am going to be smart, start buying legos that go on sale for a really good price, stash them in my pile and then try to find a table to do up for a lego centre (oh pinterest, you’re so evil lol)
