LEGO CITY GARBAGE TRUCK Review

Nothing beats a toy that lets you make, play and learn, all these in one. And I’m talking about none other than Lego, of course! Kids enjoy building, and without them knowing they develop so many skills (fine motor, problem-solving, etc.), and get creative and free with imaginative play.

I’ve lost count of the many Lego sets my kids have had over the years, and up to now they’re still as excited as how they were the first time whenever we get a new set. And this Lego City Garbage Truck we have right here is no exception. My 7-year old daughter’s already a Lego expert (at least in my opinion), but she always finds new Lego sets challenging but fun so she never gets tired of building something new. It’s even more exciting for my 3-year old son because he loves toy vehicles, and he never had a garbage truck before!

Who needs a toy garbage truck anyway, when there’s a Lego City set for it which is even better? It’s because this garbage truck sure does operate like a real garbage truck! Its truck lift can move up and down to pick up the container and tilt it as well to dump the contents of the container into the orange body. And its body with functional tailgate can tilt and open to empty out the trash. My son can just keep on operating this garbage truck all day, loading and unloading from it any stuff he could find.

This Lego City Garbage Truck set also includes two minifigures (a truck driver and a helper), and loads of fun garbage truck accessories like a shovel, broom, brick studs, glass, and even biodegradable trash like banana and fish. This set has a total of 248 pieces. So as you can see, this set kept my daughter busy as she patiently built the truck to perfection. And after that, my son was even busier doing his garbage duties through this set.

The Lego City Garbage Truck set is recommended for ages 5 to 12, and this is just one of the many awesome Lego City sets that represent a very busy town, which includes everything that operates whether on land, water and air. Fire trucks, fire station, fire boats, police cars, rescue helicopters, ambulance planes, prison island, you name it.

My kids are both below ten and they’ve got a long way to go as they grow with more Lego sets to get their eager hands on, and I’m sure we’ll all be looking forward to every new set even when they’re on their teens! No matter how old we get, there is always a Lego challenge step-up and that’s one way to never stop creating and learning.
