LeapFrog Explorer Game Cartridge – The Magic School Bus: Oceans

Leapfrog

The Magic School Bus and Ms. Frizzle have been entertaining children for decades. The red-headed teacher and her adventurous students ride inside a bus that morphs to fit into small places (like human noses!) or grows wings to fly through the air. Her students learn about the sciences in a fun and very hands-on way. They put a unique spin on the average field trip!

Scholastic, the company behind The Magic School Bus and educational material often found in the classroom, has released the game The Magic School Bus: Oceans, which means that the fantastical school bus will be watercraft.

The Magic School Bus: Oceans Game is fun, interactive, and above all, educational. The target market is kids ages 5 through 8 years old, or kids in kindergarten through second grade. While players reach new levels in the game, they learn about more than 100 ocean animals and marine life facts. The scenes of the game are vibrant and colorful. There are seven levels to the game. Players learn hundreds of facts about life under the sea through trivia questions. My daughter has gained a wealth of knowledge through play, and she often quizzes me on the fun facts she has been learning. I am just excited as she is with this game. I love the fact that she is learning quickly, and she simply loves playing. We are both learning through this game. I find it just as interesting as she does. It is something that we can enjoy together, and I appreciate how it has brought us even closer.

My daughter plays the game on her LeapFrog Leapster Explorer. The Explorer game cartridge for The Magic School Bus: Oceans is also compatible with LeapFrog’s LeapPad 1 learning tablet, the LeapPad 2 learning tablet, and the LeapsterGS gaming system. These are sold separately from the game cartridge.

The Magic School Bus: Oceans sells for $24.99 on Leapfrog.com. You could also download the game at the LeapPad App Center so it could be played on compatible Smartphones. The game can be taken anywhere and enjoyed while standing in line at the grocery store, waiting in the pediatrician’s or dentist’s office, during long car rides to Grandma’s house, or any other time a kid might become easily bored and in need of some entertainment. There is no better way to learn but through having fun, and The Magic School Bus: Oceans is one of the best ways to familiarize kids about the remarkable oceans that surround us.
