Hasbro Introduces Play-Doh Town + Town Firehouse Kit Giveaway

My 3-year old son is starting to get fond of Play-Doh, and that means my 7-year old daughter is no longer alone in enjoying Play-Doh all to herself. It’s really challenging to avoid siblings from grabbing toys from each other, especially with Play-Doh. So a great way to play Play-Doh together and at a larger scale is with Play-Doh Town playsets!

We have three fun town playsets that not only improves their fine motor skills but also encourages pretend play, while letting them have a sense of community.

Play-Doh Town Ice Cream Truck

Play-Doh Town Ice Cream Truck

This yummy playset includes an ice cream truck, an ice cream man figure with removable hat, removable soft-serve ice cream extruder, mold tray for ice cream toppings, popsicle mold, 2 popsicle sticks, 2 cones, and 3 cans of Play-Doh colours (light green, purple and pink).

The molds let kids create a greater variety of ice cream toppings like pretzel, wafer, cookie, and fruits and candies of different shapes. Aside from the many flavours and colour combinations on our soft-serve ice cream and popsicles, we find the ice cream man most surprising. With his removable hat, kids can make crazy hairstyles with the modeling compound and put the hat back on, or just extrude the ice cream on his head for a swirly do.

A word of caution though, the make-believe ice cream making is so much fun, it’s hard to resist eating it!

Play-Doh Town Police Motorcycle

Play-Doh Town Police Motorcycle

This action-packed playset includes a policeman figure with removable hat, a police motorcycle, traffic light post, police radio, and 3 cans of Play-Doh colours (red, yellow, blue). The molds for policeman accessories are surprisingly embedded in every piece.

The police motorcycle has a lot of molds for creating cool policeman stuff like aviator shades, gun, handcuffs, and megaphone. Plus its two rolling wheels can roll on the modeling compound and make road marks. While the policeman can have a different look every time where kids can style his hair, and even add a moustache! His feet also has molds for a police badge and another walkie talkie. Apparently, we got here everything a police officer needs.

We didn’t expect that there could be so much more: the stoplight has a crossing sign on its opposite side, and underneath it is a mold for a traffic cone! And the police radio has a long antenna that also functions as a knife for the modeling compound. Plus, the Play-Doh cans can be used as road barriers.

This one is my son’s favourite. He would just roll the motorcycle on the compound all day, and slice it up with the radio/knife, and do it all over again! I think he’s amazed by the patterns that come up from rolling.

Play-Doh Town Firehouse

Play-Doh Town Firehouse

Now this huge playset comes with a giant buildable firehouse with lots of molds, firefighter figure with removable hat, fire roof, axe, flame stamper, awesome extruder toys (water cannon, fire hydrant, puppy figure, and 4 cans of Play-Doh colours (orange, yellow, blue, green).

This is a super complete fire rescue set, because the molds are just too many to mention for the firefighter’s accessories (even the fireman’s pole from the extruder roof!), baby animals to be rescued, firehouse decorations (both inside and out!), and even fire itself. Even the extruder toys are a lot too. And like all Play-Doh Town figures, the firefighter’s hair can be styled freely. And the very useful Play-Doh cans have illustrations of windows on fire, so the fire roof is meant to be placed on top of them. That makes two houses in one playset.

This one is obviously my daughter’s favourite, because she gets to build the house, and never runs out of stuff to make out of the countless molds. While my son enjoys extruding with the fire hydrant.

Uh-oh, my kids want more! My girl wants me to get her a Play-Doh Town Pet Store next. And I’m seriously thinking of getting a Play-Doh Town Fire Truck too to complete our amazing firehouse. Check out Hasbro and see more Play-Doh Town playsets that are just great for siblings and playdates!
