Great Tasting Food That Happens To Be Organic

You may have heard the title of this blog post before–it also happens to be the motto for the wonderful company, Newman’s Own Organics. As a reader of a natural baby goods blog, you’ve most likely encountered this natural and organic food company. The majority of their products are inspired by food the Newman’s Own Organics staff loved as kids–just with a healthy, organic spin.

I had no idea the extent of products that Newman’s Own Organics made. While you can currently only find their wide range of food on shelves in the United States (click here for a store near you) you can purchase them online as well. Their products include organic pretzels, cookies, popcorn, chocolate bars, peppermint cups, peanut butter cups, olive oil and vinegar, dried fruit, fair trade coffee and even pet food.

Newman’s Own Organics has so many crowd pleasing favorite foods that you will be sure to find at least  one that will become your go-to snack for your whole family. My daughters could not get enough of the ABC Cinnamon Graham Cookies and I loved them not only because of their organic and wholesome properties but also because of how convenient they are as a quick, fairly crumbless snack–perfect for in the stroller or carseat!

We also devoured the two bags of dried fruit they sent us in as many days. I love giving my girls such high-fiber, nutritious snacks in the form of dried fruit but I always hesitate when buying it for them. With the options from Newman’s Own Organics, I readily handed the bags of cranberries and apples to them knowing that there were no sulfites in them–delicious!

We absolutely loved everything we tried from their satisfyingly crunchy spelt pretzels and perfectly chewy Fig Newman’s to their surprisingly delectable licorice and delicious Newman-O’s. It took work for me to remember that the food I was eating was organic–it all tasted wonderful and without the usual “health” taste that I’ve come to expect from traditional organic and natural foodstuffs.

Should you be curious about the ingredients in any Newman’s Own Organics product, you can peruse their incredibly helpful FAQ section. As a very transparent and customer-friendly company, the FAQs will answer hundreds of questions you may have about their products–down to the details about grams of caffeine in a chocolate-creme Newman-O’s cookie to details about the honey used in a Newman-O’s Alphabet Cookies.

Newman’s Own Organics are perfect for anyone from toddlers to grownups. When I had a group of women over this week, I laid out the Original Hermits cookies and Newman-O’s and they were gone before the night was over–and to rave reviews–none of my friends could believe that what they’d eaten was organic and natural but all of them knew they’d be buying more for their family! I highly suggest you do the same!

  7. I learned that they made an announcement that they were reducing the ounces of product in their cookie packages instead of raising the package price, due to rising costs of organic ingredients. It was very honest of them to be upright about the pricing and size of their products. Well done!
