First Cheerios – Small cereal. Big moment!

Every little thing my daughter does or goes through is something to me. I treasure her every first, and these firsts are all special to me. I feel blessed that I have witnessed those firsts, or at least was there around when it happened. Her new-learned “tricks”, new words, new ideas and new interests are what surprise me every single day that sometimes, I wonder where has my baby girl gone—she seem to grow too fast, I can’t keep pace! It’s an amazing experience, though, to see her learning and growing up and to say that I was there with her. It has always been a nice thing to be able to share stories about our kids’ milestones, especially if it’s something you went through as a kid, too, like falling in love (at-first-taste) with Cheerios!

General Mills Canada wants to be a part of celebrating those moments thus the First Cheerios Campaign began. Everyone can be a part of this campaign by sharing your own experience with your kids’ first Cheerios taste. You can join them on their Life Made Delicious Facebook page where you are to post a photo of your kid’s very first Cheerios experience. It is a yearly campaign. So, through out next year, you’ll get to see a whole bunch of proud parents with their children celebrating the Cheerios madness either for the first or for the hundredth time. Participating in this campaign can win you a coupon for a free box of Cheerios with a $1 off coupon for your next purchases, if you make it to the first 1000 entries. Remember, a limit of only one (1) free box and one $1off coupon only is allowed for every household. One of the best parts of this campaign is that you’ll even get a chance to see your photo entry on a Cheerios box. A mosaic will be completed will be on the box of limited-edition family-sized Cheerios (400g). Who knows, your baby’s photo might make it on the mosaic. They’ll hit the shelves on Spring 2013.

I’ve always thought that kids today are so lucky to be born in a time where yummy breakfast cereals are super healthy already. Cheerios is one of those nutritious cereals that tastes so good that kids will love them as much as moms and dads since history ever began. They’re so good and nourishing that they have been recommended by 4 out of 5 pediatricians as a first finger food. And, being a part of family homes and kitchen pantries for seventy years, Cheerios made another brilliant to celebrate family and healthy eating with the First Cheerios Campaign. Visit the Life Made Delicious Facebook page link given above to know more details.

Disclosure – I am participating in the First Cheerios Blog Tour by Mom Central Canada on behalf of General Mills. I received compensation as a thank you for participating and for sharing my honest opinion. The opinions on this blog are my own.

  1. Just so you know, if you enter this contest you are signing over rights to your image to General Mills “in perpetuity.” My son was used to promote this campaign, with a photo we entered in a previous campaign. We didn’t win the first contest, but nonetheless, General Mills is trotting out my son’s mug for promotion “in perpetuity,” and all we got was a couple boxes of Cheerios.

Point of reference? That’s my son’s face at the top of your post. No link love to my blog, no photo credit, nothing. GM owns my son, it appears.

Here’s more on our situation that I hope you will share with your readers as a fair warning about photo contests/promotions: http://www.babble.com/kid/my-kids-face-is-on-thousands-of-cheerios-boxes-and-it-sucks/
