Education Starts At Home With Educational Children’s Books

It is important to teach young kids at an early age in order for them to be ready for kindergarten or nursery. You would prepare them so they wouldn’t be lost in class. And what better way to prepare them is through the use of educational children’s books. I remember when I was a kid I used to have those picture cards about different numbers and letters. There were objects associated to letters and I remember the letter “A” always had the picture of an apple in it. Now that I am a mother to a soon-to-be school kid, I always prep her for that. My daughter is now familiar with the basics – letters, numbers, colors, and shapes.

I used to have those flash cards but they somehow felt boring and quiz type. So now I’ve settled with educational books to help my daughter jumpstart her education. Her personal favorites and what I feel really useful are the books Montessori: Letter Work, Montessori: Number Work, and Pantone: Box of Colors.

All three books are really exceptional and are at an affordable price given that they are very useful to little kids. These books are very easy to understand and have great illustrations and catchy colors. Kids will be more engaged in it and they can associate the illustrations to what it stands for. Books like this really help kids learn faster and in such a fun way. They really encapsulate the Montessori type of teaching little kids and that’s a good thing. All of them are board books which is easy for little hands to flip the pages.

Montessori: Letter Work & Montessori: Number Work

Parents Bobby and June George created these two Montessori-type of board books. I find the books really educational because not only do they associate pictures and objects with letters or numbers, they also have those traceable numbers and letters. That is a unique twist to the books since kids will also learn how to write these letters and numbers. My daughter likes these two books very much and she already memorizes all of them already. She can write the letters without looking at the book now.

Pantone: Box of Color: 6 Mini Board Books!

The Box of Color is composed of 6 smaller board books. Its focused is on the colors and again, it has a Montessori-type of teaching. Associating certain objects to a color. This is also my daughter’s favorite because there are a lot of different illustrations and it contains beautiful colors and books. What I like about this is that it’s more advanced because it shows the different shades of the colors, something that a normal educational book would show. Pantone, one of the most respected graphic arts company, created this box of Color board book.

All these books are great options for Christmas. It’s something that both the parents and children will love. It even promotes education and learning positively. These can be found on online bookstores and in bookstores at the mall.
