I have a little thought to share. All my life, I’ve always thought that Skechers is a shoe brand that’s meant to be for young people. Young like, you know, teenagers, tweens and kids. I remember when I was still an adolescent girl, Skechers was the it-shoes because it was endorsed by Britney Spears and Cristina Aguilera, and every girl in school was so cool to have a pair of Skechers!

Fast forward to being a mom of two kids, and with endorsements by today’s hit singers Demi Lovato and Meghan Trainor, Skechers is still a hip and trendy brand of shoes for men, women and children. And now that I got not one, but two (!!!) pairs of Skechers women’s shoes just for me, I instantly felt fresh and youthful! Hah! I didn’t think twice about wearing them. I knew I can pull them off because hot momma Kim Kardashian did so.

My Skechers Energy Burst in pool blue color is all pool including the shoelace (except the white midsole) but the single-color body is designed with different textures so it looks beautifully intricate. The top material is made of breathable open-knit mesh with light overlays, and there’s a heel pull loop. Inside is the removable “Air-Cooled Memory Foam” insole which makes the shoe very comfortable on the heels. But it’s the “Burst” midsole that does the tough job of protecting the feet from impact and returning the energy to the wearer. Yet the whole shoe is super lightweight, you wouldn’t think it’s an athletic shoe! But when I started running with them, I really felt my energy going steady because of the lightness of the shoe and the really functional Burst midsole.

Skechers OG 82 Smooth Movez

And now for my Skechers OG 82 Smooth Movez in black color, is made with nubuck leather, synthetic fabric and mesh with stitching and overlay accents. I particularly like the brown leather accent on the tongue and back collar because they make it look perfect for pairing with my brown leather bags. The inside also has “Air-Cooled Memory Foam” insoles, and the outsoles are synthetic. The description says it’s great for casual jogging but I like to wear it for walking, and wish to wear it for dancing like Britney Spears and Demi Lovato (I really wish)!

And to emphasize again, I got not just one, but TWO (!!!) pairs of Skechers for me and myself only. And I’m just more than happy to have them both. They’re both oh so comfy to wear, but they have totally different functionalities and fashion statements which I can play with.

So here’s a good “side effect” I’ve been feeling with these Skechers shoes, and I call them the “Skechers effect”. I want to wear them all the time but I make sure that I’d be wearing a short shorts, a short skirt or a dress (with the Smooth Movez pair), or workout leggings just to emphasize the shoes and really make me feel young. Not exactly like a teenager, but a really cool mom. And they do the job of keeping my feet comfortable no matter how active they get.

  77. My husband and I have been trying to keep fit by taking walks twice a day. You see this INCREDIBLE man I get to call my husband had the dirty c-word he is my HERO and is now in remission .   85. I would love to win as I have arthritis and Plantar Fascaitis .I bought my first pair approx.4 months ago. I bought the Skech air. OH MY !! my foot pain has reduced immensely. The gel insole and shock absorbing outer sole are simply amazing. I am so greatful as these shoes allow for impact absorption so it reduces the pain in my ankles knees and back as well.

  132. Easy. I want to win because I just bought my first pair of skechers about 6 months ago, which I love the comfort but I bought slipons because I couldn’t breathe. Now I have new lungs and laces are an option bc I can walk, and bend to tie them so I am eager to try a style I might love more and leave my “sick” shoes in the closet.

  151. Employed as a customer service rep – there are occasional 12 hour days on my feet. Experimented with many types of shoes – Skechers reign supreme. Feet are still sore – but foot pain recovery quick. Can’t keep a busy woman down….

  157. i’ve had to have two surgeries now since may 18th, so I am walking and doing pokemon go to try to get back into shape (I prob over did it the day after my last surgery as I walked 2.6 kilo that day) my last surgery was the 21st and I go back in two weeks because EI only pays out 15 weeks in total. I have been using sandals to walk but think I should prob switch over to runners (I need to replace the ones I have as they got wet from spring) THANKS
