Celebrating #OrganicWeek – September 19-27th! {#Giveaway}

Canada’s National Organic Week is happening from September 19 to 27! It’s the grandest annual homage to organic food, farming and products across the country. So as part of the celebration, Nature’s Path sent me an irresistible gift box full of organic (and vegan-friendly goodies) from Nature’s Path and some of their favourite organic brands.

Let’s start with my awesome Nature’s Path yummies!

Flax Plus Multibran Flakes

What’s the power combination for healthy fiber? Flax and multibran! Aside from richness in Omega-3 essential fatty acids, each 30g serving is loaded with 5 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein!

Flax Plus Pumpkin Flax Granola

If flax gives you fiber and Omega-3, pumpkin seeds offers essential minerals such as zinc to boost the immune system, and magnesium for heart and blood energy. Each serving of 55 grams is packed with up to 450mg Omega-3 and 1500mg Omega-6!

Chia Plus Coconut Chia Granola

Chia seeds, the superfood which is the highest plant source of Omega-3 polyunsaturates, is made yummier with coconut! Each 55g serving gives 6 grams of fiber, 5 grams of protein, and very low sodium of only 50mg!

EnviroKidz Peanut Butter Panda Puffs Cereal

This is a common favourite in every member of our family. Yes, both pairs of adults and kids. I mean, who doesn’t love peanut butter flavoured treats? And it’s organic! And oh yes, it’s gluten-free!

Here are the rest of the organic goodies that we got from brands that are Nature’s Path’s Friends:

Amy’s Kitchen Lentil Vegetable Soup

Lentils, the good legumes with cholesterol-lowering fiber, lots of minerals and protein with almost no fat, are also awesome flavour absorbers! This organic lentil soup is made heartier with carrots, green beans, tomatoes, spinach, and tasty herbs and spices.

Camino Simply Dark Hot Chocolate

With its name that’s straight to the point, it’s literally made of rich and velvety dark chocolate! Not only is it certified organic, but also fairtrade certified, certified kosher, vegan-friendly, and gluten-free.

Crofter’s Premium Spread Wild Blueberry

Wild blueberries! They may be far more petite than farm-harvested ones, but they are a more intensely coloured and flavoured variety. I bet they’re even more super loaded with nutrients! How much more purely organic could something that’s wild-harvested get?!

Ethical Bean Coffee Classic

The quintessential variant from the fairtrade certified, artisan coffee brand from Vancouver, this medium roast offers “elegant” acidity. Their coffee is even made using carbon-neutral, 100% Canadian green energy! That’s love for community, environment, and wonderful taste.

Manitoba Harvest Organic Hemp Hearts

The nuttiness of these raw shelled hemp seeds makes hemp hearts a delight to munch on their own, and also adds flavour to yogurt, cereals, smoothies, and salads. Each 30-gram serving is packed with 10 grams of protein and 10 grams of Omega fats!

Prana Kilimanjaro Organic Deluxe Chocolate Trail Mix

The goodness of 70% dark chocolate in taste and health benefits is made even better with splashes of almonds, sultana raisins, cranberries, walnuts, cashews, and Algarve sea salt! Just zero percent in guilt goodness.

Pacific Foods Organic Mushroom Broth

Pull off a savory vegan soup recipe with mushroom broth! It’s also great for enhancing the flavours of risottos and pasta dishes. It only has water, mushrooms, garlic and sea salt as ingredients. No soy!

My organic gift box is not complete without free vouchers from Earthbound Farm, Happy Planet Fresh Soups, and Silver Hills Bakery!

Nature’s Path also featured a short but sweet and eye-opening animated video about how powerful our choices are, by explaining how and why we are all “farmers” in the earth’s food chain. I especially liked earth is always left better than when it’s found”. Check it out and let us altogether make a difference! https://youtu.be/vd19AaO9Cg4
