There’s nothing better than spending time with your family and doing activities that will help boost everyone’s mood and creativity. For example, you may spend a relaxing weekend afternoon doing some arts and crafts activities with the kids. However, a parent might have to struggle with a kid’s short attention span. This might have something to do with the conventional materials that are used during the artsy session. Good thing that the new and improved Chameleon Kids Blendy Pens made their way back into the scene.
One afternoon, I tried to involve my kids in a short and simple arts session. I opened their school bags, pulled out their crayons, pens and papers, and laid them on the table. About 30 minutes or so, my youngest one yawned and requested to do other things. I understood him when he said that he just used the same art supplies earlier that day in the school. I asked myself later that night, “What should I do to engage them more?” I’d love my kids to learn more and explore their skills on drawing and arts and I also want to spend my time with them talking about various things.
Creativity-Savior: The Blendy Pens by Chameleon Kidz
I received a Blendy Pens Jumbo Kit from Chameleon Kids. I read across the entire packaging and it looks like Chameleon Kidz made great improvements on these coloring pens compared to the same product that made a really big hit way back 2005.
My kids went all gung-ho after opening the kit and I was amazed in how these pens can bring out my kids’ imagination a level higher. I tested the pens myself and became impressed how I can easily assemble it. For endless coloring fun, you just have to pick two colors and connect them with the fusion chambers. Simply put, you will have to put together three pieces of the set to blend the inks, putting the fusion chamber in the middle of both pens. Count five seconds and the pens are now ready to use with the colors fused. I lost count of the colors I tried that time and all I can say is that every combination delivers a very smooth transition.
The Blendy Pens Jumbo Kit has 24 markers in it and with those, you can produce as much as 276 colors. I’m pretty sure that my kids will never run out of imagination in using the pens. The kit also comes with 1 Blendy airbrush. My 9-year old girl enjoyed using it as it delivers a change on the ink’s texture. The youngest one was entertained with the 10 posters, also included in the kit, as it has a couple of surprises once color has been applied on it. Other inclusions are 2 stencils and an art portfolio to organize the pens and the artworks.
I like the fact that my 4-year old boy can safely use the Blendy Pens since it is tailored for kids age 4 and above. I was also proud that I get to engage my kids, especially my little one, in this artistic type of activity. The pens are really flashy and my kids just can’t take their hands off of them. After a few colorful hours of coloring, I was sure that the next problem will be washing off the ink from my kids’ hands and from our table. I was not aware that the Chameleon Kidz Blend Pens are non-permanent and is washable so I was really amazed that I got to take care of the mess after a few wipes! My children’s hands were ink-free after the usual washing and it’s just incredible.
Both of them were all smiles and I got time to cook for dinner while they were busy drawing and coloring with our new favorite art supply. At bed time that night, they demanded that we do art sessions every day and I’m positive that they will never tire of using the pens. So if you know a parent who desires to engage his/her kids through art education, you know what you can recommend to them!
