Bewitching Witch Costumes – Goth Maiden Witch Child Costume Review

Children love dressing up. It is part of their inherent creativity being channeled through dress-up play. As a mother, dress-up play is something you should not be underestimating because beneath the old carton boxes and over-sized velvet robes, dress-up play is serious business.

A lot of benefits can come from dress-up play. Among the many things, playing dress-up can stimulate children’s imagination as they connect with their dress-up characters. It doesn’t take a lot for a child to be transported in a world of make believe. A little wand-looking stick may be all it takes for him to become Harry Potter and a pair of fairy wings for her to become Tinkerbell.

It doesn’t have to be Halloween for your kids to be wearing costumes. Dress-up plays are a normal part of their development. It’s not a bad idea to leave kids be and let them make their own costumes but we, mommies, just can’t help ourselves to a little spoiling spree once in a while. We always thirst for that ear-to-ear smile and grateful hugs we receive in exchange for giving them what they want. However, we rarely find ourselves making our children’s costumes ourselves as motherhood leaves us with but little time to do crafty things such as, well, make costumes. I was lucky enough to have recently encountered an excellent online shopping site which sells – wait for it – children’s costumes! I’m not going to waste more seconds here, I’m telling you about the site pronto!

I know it’s a bit too early for Halloween this month but Costume SuperCenter was generous enough to send my little daughter a gorgeous Goth Maiden Witch Child Costume. My daughter was so delighted! Witches are a staple character in every girl’s fantasy play apart from the princesses and fairies, of course.

The perpetual presence of witches, especially the introduction of “good witches”, in children’s fairytales has fostered interest in our little girls’ hearts to learn about witches. Centuries ago, witches were condemned as spawns of the Devil and those who were suspected of practicing witchcraft were mercilessly burned alive. I am not really intent with sharing the gory details of witchcraft during the olden days. My favorite witch stories are only those involving Merlin. So if you’re a history buff who is keen to know about the history of witches and witchcraft, the article on Salem Witch Trials might peak your interest.

Now enough of witches already, I’m here to tell you of my bewitching encounter with Costume SuperCenter and the costume they gave my daughter.

About the Costume:

The Goth Maiden Witch Child Costume was absolutely fabtastic! The costume featured an elegant gown length black and green dress, with cross lacing on the low cut bodice. It was very detailed and witchy indeed. It came with a matching witch’s hat with tulle and feathers to complete the outfit. The best part of the costume was its quality. The black part of the dress had brocade look while the green sections are satin-like. The materials used for the costume were definitely not cheap ones. And it only costs a meager $28.89!

About the Service:

I loved the service of Costume SuperCenter because the shipping was prompt.

Costume SuperCenter offers a very wide variety of costumes at very affordable rates. Check out their website with your little girls for more girl costumes. They have everything from fairy costumes to witch costumes to Barbie costumes – you name it, they got it!
