Technology and gadgets is enjoyed primarily by adults, but this shouldn’t keep our little kids from learning through them as well. More and more children and educational CD’s are coming out to entertain kids from all ages. Some unique and fun examples are musical books which you can play and read along with them on your tablet PC or your laptop.
It was fortunate that I got a storybook with fun music CD and illustrations that keeps my daughter awed and interested. The musical book A Duck in New York City features a little duck who hails from Prairies with big dreams. He made it to New York City and danced his ducky way to Broadway. The story book presents an adventurous trip that seemed to head for failure. Then he met a truck driver named Big Betty who showed him how to tackle New York City!
The storybook-musical CD will be great to have on your iPad or your computer. My daughter enjoys singing and reading along book. Singer-songwriter Connie Kaldor created additional songs such as alligators waltzing at midnight, slugs singing opera songs sneaking out at night to dance the boogie and little girls singing off-key tunes to have tomatoes thrown at them. Everything will be a new experience for you and your kids with this book and CD tandem.
The music and story are made more fun by 3D illustrations by duo illustrators Philippe Arseneau Bussieres and Julie Saint-Onge Drouin. As a mom to growing kids, it is important that we have something to guide us during those times when they become a little demanding. Growing up also means growing curiosity so you can expect more what, where, when, how’s and why’s with your children. There are a lot of things they want to know and they want answers to their endless array of questions.
When it comes to this kind of situations, it will be very helpful to have something to sate their curiosity. I received Ask Me Everything from DK publishing along with a The Cook’s Book and I find it very rewarding to have a big picture book to entertain my 3.5 year old daughter whenever she feels like playing the little inquirer.
Though the information you get from these books are more for a 4th up to 6th grader, the big and colorful pictures can really perk up the interest of even the younger ones. Well even parents like me will surely be piqued to read and know what’s inside and the answers to all those questions, so it makes for a great reading and bonding time for families too.
There are books for everyone from DK Publishing, I for one love learning from The Cook’s Book that I got along with the Ask Me Everything Book for my kiddo. So while she is busy browsing and being amazed at the vivid and colorful images, I can try my culinary artistry with my perfect kitchen companion. This cook book has tips and guides that are easy to follow. I can prepare delicious meals that look professionally done with tips and techniques that are applicable for home cooking. Top chefs like Ken Hom and Charlie Trotter worked up to clearly and simply present the best methods of successfully preparing sumptuous foods for the home.
My family enjoys trying different cuisines – from western food to other international food; I love how they appreciate food I prepare each meal. I’d say this Cook’s Book is an essential part of my kitchen.
