ShuShyBye Sleepover Surprise Book & CD Review And Giveaway Ends 3/14

February 24, 2010 by Vivian

I must confess I am always excited to put my child to sleep, because as a woman I need to have enough time for myself too, from finishing my daily chores to reading my favorite book and for my nightly routine as well. Hope you won’t call me selfish, but hands-on mother could somewhat relate to this.

I remember when my daughter was just an infant I never had a hard time putting her to sleep, our bedtime routine efficiently gave me sufficient time. But I have to cope up with the changes, the moment finally arrived, her infant routine wasn’t working anymore. It would take me almost two hours just to put her to sleep, as much as I don’t want to, my frustration sets in.

Shushybye Company was founded in 2004 and now they proudly present their very own, original Shushybye’s parent & child interactive, multimedia collection. Shushybye children series on BabyFirstTV is available on cable and satellite channel in the US which focuses on child’s healthy night-time routines. In case that you didn’t catch their highly recommended show, I’ll tell you some tidbits about it.

Shushybye’s children program is not an animated series, which is really good because flashy cartoon shows tend to lessen our child’s capability to imagine on the higher level, and it induces a hyperactive effect on them. The Shushybye TV series would set your child in the sleep-mode, it’s like their characters are telling your child that be ready to sleep because a lot of great things are about to happen. They offer an exciting presentation in a calming way. I received these Shushybye’s Sleepover Surprise book and CD for product evaluation. From the iParenting and Family Choice Award-Winning toddler and preschool sleep-themed entertainment (obviously the one I am talking about earlier) in which they partnered with St Martin’s Press.

shushybook2cover

On the first night that we received the Shushybye’s Sleepover Surprise book and CD, we were both excited; as soon as the read-along CD plays I watched my daughter calmed down, serious on the three best-buds Zeez, Dozie and Snoozles. The two of them created an unexpected concert treat for Dozie. She loves how the story is narrated, and with three songs, my little angle surely has enough music to carry on to her dreamland. And with less than 30 minutes, she’s set to her deep slumber. The Shushybye’s Sleepover Surprise book and CD is now the highlight of our bedtime routine, or maybe just for me, for the best part would be my daughter’s adventures in her dreams. One thing for sure, Shushybye’s Sleepover Surprise book and CD improves my child’s sleeping habit in a very imaginative way, and it also made my life easier. In reality, you have the two-sides of the coin with Shushybye’s product. Their line offers ideal sleep amenities for children, such as toys, sleepwear, DVD’s, posters and more. Why not create your very own dreamland with the help of Shushybye Shoppe at www.shushybye.com. My daughter’s room is now under renovation… What’s in store with the Shushybye’s Sleepover Surprise book and CD was discovered by my child and I, thanks for the product review, we are both winners.

Hairykids Review And Giveaway Ends 3/14

We all know that kids have a sensitive skin. But how far do we go until our own child suffers from terrible skin issues such as eczema. Honestly at first I thought that it’s just a matter of luck. Some kids might be immune to not-too harm chemicals of shampoos and soaps, and others do have fast-irritating skin. I remember when my daughter was only a few months, her pediatrician gave me the brand of soap that she would be using; unfortunately, she didn’t tell me what type shampoo. Typically I decide based on the popular brand, and what my friends are using on their child. So I did, after 6 months I observed that my daughter was having red rashes at her back. We went to her doctor; then again she changes the brand of soap, a bit expensive and unscented. It works, but before she turns 1 year old, the rash at her back, reappears. The doctor said that she is just having a “dry skin” but she gave me a hydrocortisone medication for her. With great respect to doctors I didn’t argue, I believe of course that she knows what she’s doing. Two weeks ago I receive these shampoo products from HairyKids for product evaluation. I am product conscious with soaps, which by then I believe had a major impact on my child’s skin. I found out that the products of HairyKids are all natural; I couldn’t say that their line is completely organic; the owners are not claiming it to fame either. But I really find that transparency more trusting, HairyKids’s owners tries their very best to use organic components as possible. Organic products needs certifications, where in HairyKids is sourcing from other undeveloped countries, where organic faming is in their way of living, and yet licensing and production becomes unreasonably expensive due to their government system. Mostly in Asia, natural is indeed natural, consumers don’t need certification because they know the location where these products come from, and they know the values of their farmers. Once the ingredients are passed on to the suppliers and distributors overseas, HairyKids requires that these components have a specific certificate of analysis proving quality, before they can initially consider the ingredient to be a part of their product. HairyKids‘ line is made in Canada, all natural ingredients, no preservatives, and absolutely no fragrant chemicals. To be able to achieve a fragrance, it passes through a great complexity of chemical combinations. The all-natural Hairy Kids’ shampoo uses essential oil, natural extraction of scents from plants. It helps me solve my child’s skin problems.

I will tell you exactly how it made wonders, when I started using these HairyKids‘ shampoo and conditioner in tropical scent on my daughter; actually I received HairyKids shampoo and conditioner in seaside, lemonade, unscented and tropical scents. I tried stopping my daughter’s hydrocortisone treatment, because my mother-in-law is using the same type of medicine on her scaled feet, which I find too uncanny for my daughter who is just 20 months old. On the same length my mother-in-law told me that perhaps the shampoo that I was using before, was the one that is causing the rashes on my daughter, she explains to me that residues of the shampoo sets at my daughter’s back or I am not rinsing properly at all. It really made sense to me; with the use of HairyKids‘ shampoo and conditioner my daughter’s skin now is much better than before. On the lighter note, as my mother-in-law sees the difference in her granddaughter’s skin, she insists that I let her sample the HairyKids shampoo and conditioner in seaside scent; yes indeed she had the courage to choose from my HairyKids’ trial set. She told me that maybe her current shampoo is the one to blame for her scaled feet, as the residues sets on the tiled floor as she takes a shower each day.

HairyKids products also offers baby shampoo, conditioner, baby bath and styling gels, their line is good for the entire family. My husband and I share the shampoo and conditioner bottles of my daughter. We are all happy about it, you can really see the natural effects of their products, and my husband tells me that his hair loss issue is lessened with his use of the unscented HairyKids. Start discovering the all natural benefits of HairyKids, visit their refreshing website at www.hairykids.ca , you can make everyone happy.

Sweetsation Therapy “Grow and Glow” Organic Skin Care Gift Set Review And Giveaway Ends 3/14

SWEETHDRANIREVISED2

How do you handle the funny tell-tales on soon to be moms? Some say, if you are extremely glowing or you are having an impeccable aura your child would certainly be female, the funny thing though, is what if someone told you, “perhaps, you will be having a boy”, a.k.a “excuse me, but you look terrible”. Yes, someone said that to me, and it directly equates to the latter part. Staying beautiful while you are “on the way” is challenging, your hair treatments will surely be postponed for at least a year. Your nail care, well, just be contented with the sufficient help from the calcium that we are taking. Nail polishing is not really a good idea on pregnant women, from mothers to doctors same old advise, “an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure”, for some long lasting nail polish includes formaldehyde, which could really be harmful due to its fume and skin absorption.

beautynew

How about on our skin care regimen? Sweetsation Therapy is haven for fashionable yet responsible moms. Their skin care lines are all natural and organic components, from mom’s delicate needs to child’s sensitive skin. Sweetsation Therapy blossomed in 2008, founded by a trendy yet practical mom named Natalja Millsap; she also worked in the beauty care, cosmetic industry for more than 20 years. With her expertise, she collaborated with two US based laboratories, team of chemists, dermatologist to aroma therapists. The components are individually tested and checked against the Cosmetic Safety Database, and once verified, a certified child-safety product is produced. Most of the soon-to be moms just go on with their beauty rituals. We start from without completely being aware of the pregnancy. Right after the confirmation period, we focus on healthy diets, pre-natal exercises and clothing issues, but we overlooked our skin care. I must confess, when I was on that stage, this is what’s going on my head, “I’m almost deprived on every beauty plus, these creams won’t hurt”, or so I thought.

Growandglowbig

I was lucky enough to receive this “Grow and Glow” organic skin care gift set from Sweetsation Therapy. It includes 1- Organic C*Perfect Skin Foaming Face Cleanser with Vitamin C (7oz), Oraganic Sun*Si’Belle Triple Action Moisturizer with SPF 30+ and antioxidants (3.5oz) unscented and Organic Aqua*Tika Botanical Night Cream (2.5oz). I actually don’t have any doubts trying out these products on my face; I was excited about it because indeed it is a gift from Sweetnation Therapy. The Organic C*Perfect Skin foaming cleanser makes my face fresh and supple, longer than I expected and the vitamin C controls the excess oil. Unlike other facial cleansers either your face will feel too dry after washing or it will make your face soft for about 15 minutes and afterwards your face will become oily. I really appreciate the blend of Oraganic Sun*Si’Belle Triple Action Moisturizer with SPF 30+ and antioxidants, I get enough SPF+ without any sticky struggles, I noticed that on other brands, the higher the SPF, the stickier it becomes which makes me settle for lesser SPF creams, but the Sweetsation Therapy’s moisturizer lets you have the sufficient SPF and makes you feel at ease too. Rejuvenation with Organic Aqua*Tika Botanical Night Cream is the ideal night ritual for every women; the aroma calms me in a definitive way.

Honestly, I do not share my beauty rituals with my husband; it’s not a secret, just little privacy and mystery. On the first night, he noticed the light aroma smell and he loves it! Within just three days, he told me that my face looks clearer. That would be the best compliment for anyone. Sweetsation Therapy products are widely distributed in the USA, but for further assurance, it is best to visit their online store at www.Sweetsationtherapy.com, you will enjoy visiting this website, I have fun browsing their site is packed with all best find eco-friendly items. I also found out their adorable “Recycle and Rewarded” program, interesting. There are plenty of choices at Sweetsation Therapy, I also like Sun’n’Fun Organic Baby sunscreen SPF30+ which will be perfect for my daughter, and I believe that anytime soon our girly-beauty cabinet will be filled with Sweesations Therapy organic products, so I suggest start collecting now.

Pukies Eco-Friendly Products Review And $25 GC From Pukies Giveaway Ends 3/13

February 18, 2010 by Vivian

pukies

Unimportant as it may seem, but mothers have these usual “dirty talk”, sharing opinions and remedies for their child’s dirt issues. We always perceive our child to be clean and huggable. But in reality, maintaining this image for your child isn’t an easy task.

In my personal experience, an anticipated poop is much better then unexpected puke. When my daughter was an infant, I stick with white fabrics, so I could easily bleach the stains. There are available color-safe bleaches for laundry, but I can’t mix them up to the other colored clothes, for there are some shirts that easily lose its color even with just a minimum amount of color-safe bleach. So if I settle of funky-colored outfit for my daughter, and it was stained, I have to wash it separately or else it won’t be removed at all.

This overlooked dilemma of moms was diversified by Samantha Asay, her simple query lead her to the formation of Pukies. At Pukies, their children product line could also camouflage stains. The design and fabric were finely crafted to produce smart and practical children outfit and accessories. For me I do not like frequent changing of clothes on my daughter, but I can’t help it. In any given situation, birthday parties, travels, once I spot a stain on her shirt, I wanted to change it ASAP. My husband kept on reminding me “Just relax, they’re kids, leave it that way.” But for me, the stains are blinking before my very eyes.

Two weeks ago I received these Pukies burp cloth set and girl’s long sleeve hoodie for product review. Right then and there as I opened the packaging, I told my husband that this is what I am talking about, a solution for my inexplicable worries. Especially there are greater things embedded on Pukies product. The combination of 56% organic cotton, 37 % soy fiber and 7% of spandex for elasticity made their whole children line eco-friendly and hypoallergenic as well. That’s why I’m so exited to try it on my daughter, but one time, as my daughter tries on the girl’s long sleeve hoodie, then again within just one hour she stained her clothes. I tried wiping out the tiny green stain with a damp cloth, as she was eating pistachio flavored ice cream, to my surprise it was removed without difficulty, their cloth doesn’t easily absorbed the stains. The Pukies Girl’s long sleeve hoodie perfectly suits on my daughter. It is designed femininely with full-front zip, and it’s in “milk” color; the shade is from soft beige to white, make her look very cuddly. The prone to stains part of the sleeve is layered with soft green fabric and so as the hoodies. This green colored fabric outlined the whole outfit for smart purposes as well. My husband enjoys the fact that even though it’s like white, she can move around freely without me being so cautious about the stains. I remember when I was still using white burf clothes, and I kept on folding the messy side or hide the undesirable part, honestly, it is both funny and humiliating on my part. Now that I am using these Pukies burp cloth set, I felt at ease, no more hiding-moments. The colorful appeal of these pukies burp clothes makes it easier for us to carry around everywhere. To all the mothers out there, our worries might be a little bit exaggerated for most of the times, but this is one of the greatest parts of being a woman. We might not always aim for perfection, but we surely need urgent satisfaction.

Pukies line of children clothing and accessories will definitely gave us a peace of mind. Why not go directly to the store that understands us? You can visit Pukies.com for more motherly queries; you will definitely unload those troubles. Pukies online store definitely hears the “confessions of a mother”.

ImagiPLAY Wooden Toy – EarthWorm Review And Giveaway Ends 3/5

February 17, 2010 by Vivian

EarthWorm-Yellow

Imagination and creativity is what set everyone apart. We may dream for our child, but the best approach will be to support our child’s dream. As we grow older, we find our patterns in life based on our choices. I can’t believe that my daughter is already 20 months old now. I vividly remember the first time I saw her, completely ignoring her features, I kissed her on the forehead and as soon as the doctor placed her in my arm, in tears, I really felt the need to protect her, as my soul whispers to her, be ready to the world. Every mother might have felt the same thing, gratefulness and fear infused in a mystical way.

Kid’s learning starts with toys, playing as their means of communicating on how the world works. Last week I received a toy from ImagiPlay for product evaluation, it made me smile, my ancient childhood toys actually resembles to this wooden yellow earthworm. Before we received this wooden Earthworm my little girl’s favorite was these musical and interactive voice toys. With all the flashy lights and funny sounds she can’t help pressing the buttons all day. Honesty, with these types of toys, I found difficulty putting her to sleep. The most unlikely part for me was every time that I’m changing the batteries, once my daughter caught me doing this, she will certainly insist to put the batteries by herself, as her curiosity arises she will then throw these toys just to find out where the batteries are. And if that toy is cracked, there would be no chance for her to play it again; it saddens us to see her crave for a broken toy.

It is easy to introduce a new toy to a child, but the thing is, they have this super-speed conclusion about the toy. Actually, I don’t have any doubts that she will like it; this wooden earthworm is painted alternately in yellow and wood, without any sticky varnish or harmful paint chemicals. But deep within me, I want her to love that toy. In fact, I am the fist one to play the wooden yellow Earthworm, I noticed that the wooden earthworm is twistable, strongly threaded with thick elastic band, which made it fun to play and absolutely child-safe. I let my child see how this wooden toy brings a lot of joy in me. My approaches worked, she borrowed it and I told her that wooden Earthworm is a bit sensitive. From then on, I saw my child taking care of that wooden Earthworm toy from Imagiplay, she talks to the Earthworm; let it glide on the couch and she even hums to put the wooden earthworm to sleep. It really made me feel proud that my child developed a sense of responsibility with the help of this wooden yellow Earthworm by Imagiplay. She even calls her wooden Earthworm “Gacy” I concluded that she got the name from the “grass” because I saw how much she adores her wooden earthworm especially when we pretend playing in the garden.

The ImagiPlay steeply hold onto their motto “Toys with Integrity” first off with the quality, their toys are distinctly made to be eco-friendly. All natural wooden resources came from the plantation rubber wood, known to be the earth-friendly hardwood. The greatest thing that ImagiPlay offers is that from simplicity you child will creatively make it function, in my child’s imagination the capability that wooden yellow Earthworm toy are endless. The product Imagiplay product evaluation made me comeback to my senses, when we were way younger the feature of the toy doesn’t really count, what matters is where the toy will take us. Let us invest in our child’s imagination, most of ImagiPlay products are available in Whole Foods Market Stores or you can visit their online store at Imagiplay.com for more sensible toys. For Canadian consumers please check with stores listed on the retailer site of www.stortz.ca or call toll free for assistance 1 866 747 4191.

LifeFactory Glass Baby Bottle with Silicone Sleeve Review And Giveaway Ends 2/27

February 13, 2010 by Vivian

lifefactorybottles4ozlifefactorylogoBreastfeed is always best for babies. But there are instances that we come to the deciding point, by switching to feeding bottles, and most of the time this is a case to case basis. As I come to this, my quest to ensure my child’s safety begins; in fact I tend to be more meticulous, from searching the most accurate formula milk for my daughter to finding-out the best feeding bottles in town.

Lifefactory offers a solution for mother’s meticulous standard. Their product line includes baby feeding bottles and accessories, to adult essentials. Lifefactory also hold a strong background on producing quality and eco-friendly products. They started in 2007 initially launching their BPA-free products (BPA stands for Bisphenol A, a chemical that is commonly present in many hard bottles), and free from other harmful plasticizers such as phenol and PVC.

lifefactoryproductsI received this 4 oz (118ml) glass baby bottle with silicon sleeves (orange) from Lifefactory for product trial and evaluation this week. Before the product of Lifefactory was introduced to us, we’ve already been using glass feeding bottles with curvy easy-to grip sides in colorful feminine designs for my 20 months old daughter. I never use plastic bottles for my daughter. Every night I’m preparing 1-2 bottles of 8 oz servings of milk and one 4 oz of water, this is the average consumption of my little girl during night time. At first I used the 4oz glass bottle by Lifefactory for my daughter’s water. The following day my daughter asks me to transfer her homo milk to this 4oz glass feeding bottle by Lifefactory; at first I thought that she’s just fond of the orange color. I told her that we have to wait ‘till the bottle is half empty before I grant her wish. But instead, my little girl gave her feeding bottle to me, suggesting that I need to drink it up for her. And so I thought maybe I should have obeyed her in the first place, she is hungry and she wants to drink from the Lifefactory’s 4oz glass feeding bottle. I am amazed how Lifefactory glass feeding bottle satisfies my daughter. All materials used in Lifefactory’s product are FDA approved. Their feeding baby glass bottles are a bit bigger in circumference compared to other regular glass bottles, but the sleeve will make it easier for your baby’s grip. The sleeves can also be sterilized together with the bottle and dishwasher-safe too. I found the teats or nipple of this 4oz glass bottle to be soft and durable, which is the first reason why my daughter wants to drink her milk from the 4 oz orange sleeve glass bottle.

LifeFactoryBottlesTwo days after product testing, I would like to purchase the Lifefactory 9oz glass feeding bottles in orange and yellow sleeve. Glass feeding bottles were used way back in time, but due to the dangers of using glass materials, plastic becomes the alternative. Now it is increasingly becoming popular once more. I am most thankful to the innovation made by Lifefactory, the “sleeves” efficiently protects the glass, and they simply take away my slippage-worries on glass feeding bottles. I am privileged to have the chance to test Lifefactoy’s product, fortunately I was able to asses my baby’s needs, and according to my daughter, she needs the big ones. You can purchase or view their products by logging into their website at www.lifefactory.com.
